| With the continuous progress of electronic information technology,the requirements for high-speed signal measurement tools and measurement accuracy are increasing.In order to meet such needs,a PC software has been developed using Lab VIEW software,which is designed for sampling oscilloscopes.The main functions of the software include waveform and eye diagram drawing,as well as time-frequency parameter measurement,including waveform basic parameters(such as period,frequency,peak-to-peak value,amplitude value,etc.)and eye diagram basic parameters(such as eye height,eye width,crossing point,eye amplitude,etc.).It also supports the creation of eye diagram templates,which can greatly improve data processing capability and measurement speed,and make the measurement tool’s functions more comprehensive.In order to achieve this goal,this paper conducted the following research:(1)Studied the smoothing of waveforms and clustering algorithms for eye diagrams,implemented multiple filtering methods comparison,and improved signal-to-noise ratio.Determined measurement algorithms and programming methodologies using clustering algorithms and Fourier transforms,and achieved rate measurement at rates ranging from 1G to20 G with an error of less than 1%.(2)Researched the measurement principles of waveform parameters such as period,frequency,amplitude,peak-to-peak value,etc.Obtained basic parameters that can be used to derive other parameters like peak,valley,maximum,and minimum values.Based on the measurement algorithms for basic parameters and the mathematical relationships with other parameters,other parameters such as peak-to-peak value and amplitude were measured.(3)Studied the measurement algorithm for eye diagram parameters such as eye height,eye width,eye amplitude,and crossing point.Based on eye diagram data collected by sampling oscilloscopes from PRBS signal outputs,the measurement algorithm was developed by considering statistical concepts and the significance of each parameter,and eye height and eye width parameters were measured.(4)Researched the definition of standard eye diagram templates for STM-1 and STM-4 in ITU-TG.957,and developed a method for creating eye diagram templates.Based on the standards,generated a generation scheme for eye diagram templates and a corresponding closing scheme for the eye diagram template,and implemented the import and export of eye diagram templates. |
