Virtual reality technology has been successfully applied to training and learning in many fields,and can effectively improve users’ training effect and sense of experience.This paper mainly studies the application of virtual reality in equipment maintenance training.Its goal is to design a virtual reality platform to meet the needs of maintenance personnel for maintenance training and assessment.At present,there are many problems with traditional maintenance training.Because most of the traditional training is carried out on the production line,there are many unsafe factors,and it is impossible to form a personalized and continuous training system.At the same time,the research of virtual equipment maintenance platforms at this stage mainly focuses on virtual assembly,algorithm optimization,and collision detection,and pays little attention to user experience and immersion.Therefore,building a virtual reality maintenance training platform centered on user experience can effectively solve the problems of traditional maintenance training and change the current situation of poor experience of virtual equipment maintenance platforms.Firstly,this paper expounds on the basic theory of virtual maintenance and virtual reality interactive interface;Then,using the user research methods of the questionnaire survey,observation survey,and interview survey,this paper analyzes the users of the training platform,and summarizes the typical model and core needs of the target users;Then,the interface design elements of the platform are analyzed,including design principles,structural factors,man-machine factors,and visual factors,and the corresponding design strategies are summarized;Next,the interactive gesture design of the training platform is explored.According to the research results of the natural gesture interaction experiment,a set of interactive gesture design reference strategies for virtual maintenance training platform is summarized;Based on the analysis and research of various design factors,the design and construction of virtual reality maintenance training platform are completed.The usability test results show that this platform can bring excellent user experience and maintenance training services to users.It is an efficient and practical virtual reality experience platform for equipment maintenance training.The virtual reality equipment maintenance training platform designed in this paper provides a system for equipment maintenance training and maintenance skill assessment for maintenance personnel.The whole experience platform and the corresponding design strategy have a certain reference and have practical value and theoretical significance for the design and development of subsequent related platforms.
