As the result of the industrial revolution,which has far-reaching influence on human society,railway industrial heritage has profoundly changed the global transportation mode and led the evolution of global social economy,industrial structure and urban form.The idle railway space occupying a large amount of land as a kind of stock resource is attracting extensive attention in China’s urban development from the mode of incremental expansion to the stage of tapping the potential of stock.However,idle railway land will inevitably fall into the crisis of demolition in the urban construction,resulting in a serious waste of resources and damage to the historical environment of the city.The contradiction between protection and development has always been the focus of heritage research.Since the promulgation of the Venice Charter,the international concept of heritage protection has been undergoing profound changes,from static protection focusing on single unit to the whole dynamic perspective of the whole region.Historic Urban Landscape,as a theory focusing on the integrity and active development of heritage,has gone through the development stages of theory,deepening of methods and exploration of practice since it was put forward in 2005.The application area has expanded from historical and cultural blocks and towns to the urban environment associated with cultural heritage,becoming a "landscape method" for managing urban heritage and coordinating social development.It provides a new idea for our country to carry out overall heritage protection and sustainable development.Based on the analysis of railway industrial heritage research background and the status quo,in view of the existing research in the theoretical research and practical exploration: not enough comprehensive value cognition and evaluation method has yet to be perfect,protection and development strategy,put forward by using the theory of urban historical landscape of railway industrial heritage protection and development strategy study.First of all,it explains the three concepts of urban historical landscape:integral concept,stratification concept and active concept,and analyzes the enlightenment of these three concepts to the study of railway industrial heritage.Secondly,under the guidance of these three concepts,the research methods of railway industrial heritage are constructed,including the object identification of overall relevance,the value recognition of dynamic stratification,and the generation of strategies that give consideration to development.Finally,taking Nanjing Pukou Railway Station as an example,the comprehensive value of railway industrial heritage is analyzed and evaluated from three aspects of cultural value,preservation status and environmental integration degree,and the landscape protection and development strategy of pukou Railway industrial heritage is put forward,and the representative district design practice is carried out.This study innovatively extends the application field of urban historical landscape to railway industrial heritage and tries to establish the overall value cognitive framework and comprehensive evaluation system.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)from the Angle of the stratification time summarizes railway heritage protection elements,including the natural elements,material culture and non-material culture elements,to establish the comprehensive cognitive method of railway industry heritage protection content,make up for past from a single culture perspective,cognitive a heritage value of monomer on the static time slice.(2)Taking Nanjing Pukou Railway Station as an example,ahp is used to carry out comprehensive evaluation.The evaluation results show that the station building core area and warehouse buildings have the highest comprehensive value,followed by several buildings along Jinpu Road and at the intersection of Xingpu Road and Linjiang Road.On the whole,the value distribution presents two axes along the railway line perpendicular to the riverbank direction and along the riverbank direction.(3)Based on the evaluation results,three strategies are proposed,namely,the overall protection of transportation connectivity and landscape improvement,the stratification protection of respecting the authenticity and cultural distance,industrial empowerment,and the active protection of activating the community.It provides reference for the protection and renewal of railway industrial heritage landscape in China.
