Age-appropriateness Evaluation And Optimization Of Community Parks In Mianyang City Based On POE

Population aging is a natural law of social development,and nowadays,the aging situation in China is serious,and social and economic development is facing new challenges and driving the emergence of new demands.In the 14th Five-Year Plan,China has formulated a national strategy to actively cope with aging,and clearly proposed to accelerate the improvement of infrastructure for aging and actively create an age-friendly society.^[1]As the most convenient outdoor leisure place for the elderly,community parks have social attributes such as recreation,interaction and culture,and their configuration is the key to improve the ageing-appropriateness of cities.The existing community parks are designed with relatively little consideration for the special needs of the elderly,and there are still some shortcomings in the construction of aging-friendly community parks.Therefore,it is important to analyze the activity demands of the elderly in the park,summarize the current situation and problems of community parks’aging appropriateness,and then propose targeted optimization strategies,which is an inevitable requirement to meet the challenges of population aging and has important social and practical significance.This study analyzes the distribution of community parks and the elderly population by establishing a geographic information model of the study area through GIS network analysis,and analyzes the service areas and population numbers of community parks to derive the current characteristics of the supply and demand of community parks and the elderly population in Mianyang.Based on SERVQUAL scale,the study used literature combing and combined with RECITAL tool to screen out 23 evaluation indexes and calculated the weight of each index by hierarchical analysis to construct an evaluation index model of community parks for elderly suitability.Combined with the Kano model,we derived the improvement weights of community parks for the elderly.On this basis,five highly exemplary community parks in the central city of Mianyang were selected,and a systematic investigation of the five parks was conducted by field observation method and interview method using the POE method.The elements of the community parks were specifically analyzed in five dimensions,and the uncomfortable aging problems of each element were found;and the behavioral characteristics of the elderly in the parks were analyzed by observing and recording their behavioral patterns.At the same time,personal basic information,usage characteristics and satisfaction were evaluated and analyzed by means of a questionnaire.To summarize the problem of elderly suitability of community parks in Mianyang city.Further,by improving the construction of the weighting index system,the key indicators for the improvement of the elderly suitability of community parks in the future were obtained.Finally,a comprehensive evaluation of the elderly-appropriateness of community parks in Mianyang City was conducted,and an optimization and improvement strategy was proposed to provide a model and reference for future community park elderly-appropriateness construction and renovation.
