Research On The Design Of Landscape Components For The Renewal Of Military Heritage Sites In The Northeast

The military industry is an essential part of modern Chinese industry,and military industrial sites are plagued with dysfunction and safety hazards.How to revitalise and utilise these sites,both to preserve their historical value and to realise urban functions and industrial conversion,has become a pressing issue at the moment.The main object of this essay is to examine industrial sites,focusing on the regeneration design of military-industrial sites.Drawing on the theory and practical expertize of the West,combined with the actual situation of China,the development trend of regeneration design for military industrial sites is analysed.On this basis,the principles,strategies and methods of landscape composite regeneration design for military industrial sites are proposed,with a view to promoting the conservation and development of military industrial sites in China.Then,taking the Dalian Five Twenty-Three Factory as an example,through on-site research and combing through historical documents of the Five Twenty-Three Factory site,problems in the site are identified,and the overall environmental characteristics of the Dalian Five Twenty-Three Factory are systematically analysed,elaborated and summarised,and then design discovery and design practice.In the detailed design,it is proposed to use a diversity of design methods and ingredients as well as multiple functions and services are proposed to create a composite urban space with industrial,cultural,technological and artistic characteristics.Finally,the thesis presents the issues and challenges to be considered in practical operation and provides references and insights for future research and practice.The thesis is divided into five parts.Part 1 provides an overview of the purpose,background,contents and methods of the study on the design of the composite renewal of military industrial sites,and provides a guide for the subsequent chapters of the thesis.The part 2 discusses the theories related to the thesis research,including the theories of military industrial sites and landscape composite regeneration,and analyzes them through literature review and other methods to provide a theoretical basis for the analysis of the design status and problems in the following chapters.Part 3 focuses on the historical process of the development of military industry in Northeast China and the current situation of the protection and utilization of military industry in Northeast China,and analyzes and organizes the cases of military industry landscape in Northeast China,summarizes the design principles and methods of military industry sites in Northeast China,and explores the potential of landscape restoration.Part 4 conducts a research and analysis of the current situation of Dalian Five Twenty-Three Factory in the context of the development of modern industry in Dalian,unearths the historical evolution of military industry and the regional cultural lineage of Dalian Five Twenty-Three Factory,and identifies the issues that need improvement at the site and the industrial heritage that can be preserved.Part 5 combines the development status and regional culture of Dalian,and conducts an application study on the design example of landscape composite renewal of Five Twenty-Three Factory.Finally,a summary and prospect of the landscape complex renewal design of military industrial sites in Northeast China is given in full.
