Research On The Renewal Strategy Of Public Space In Ancient City From The Perspective Of Landscape Urbanism

The development of cities is gradually shifting from rapid growth and expansion to highquality connotative development.This transformation has moved the focus of development onto other aspects such as improvement of urban physical space and environment,quality enhancement,and extensive use of resources.However,historical cities have encountered problems in redevelopment due to their long architectural history and its consequential change in urban social lifestyle.The spatial system of the ancient city is characterized by a single spatial function of infrastructure,a natural aging ecosystem,and a fragmentation with the new city,thus making it more difficult for revitalization and development.With the intention of conserving whilst renewing the ancient city,it is important to actively create an environmentally friendly open space through natural and artificial environments,and thereby unlock good social,environmental,and cultural values.Therefore,this paper explores the combination of landscape urbanism and public space renewal planning in redeveloping the ancient city.This renewal approach can guide the ancient city in establishing a multi-faceted public space,reinvigorating social interactions,and highlighting its unique cultural landscape.This article proposes renewal strategies and methods,from a landscape urbanism perspective,to address the existing problems in the development of an ancient city space,while using the planning and design of the public space renewal in the Anyang ancient city case study to verify the feasibility of the strategies.To establish and clarify concepts and core ideologies,the connotation and connection of landscape urbanism and its related theories were analyzed.By reviewing existing domestic and international studies,the weaknesses of current urban public space renewal research were identified.Furthermore,the suitability and necessity of using landscape urbanism to guide the renewal of ancient city public spaces were explored.In the core chapter,we analyze in detailextensively analyzed the components and influencing factors inof the physical space environment systemenvironmental space of the ancient city,and further analyze the real problems faced by and the problems encountered through the development of public space in the ancient city.On this basis With this basis established,a more complete thorough and realistic framework of public space regeneration strategy is constructed.This strategy uses,based on the spatial elements that aeffect the physical environment of public space,such as land use,traffic organization,street facilities,etc.A structural equation model is was established to study the relationship between the spatial elements of the ancient city.In Through the process of exploring public space regeneration strategies for the ancient city with the guidance of landscape urbanism,the spatial development orientation of the ancient city from the perspective ofthrough a landscape urbanism lens wasis clarified,and a universal strategy for the improvement of the existing spatial environment of the ancient city wasis proposed,and the methodology of applying landscape urbanism to the spatial regeneration of the ancient city wasis discussedevaluated.The empirical study takes Anyang ancient city as an example.Through field research to understand the current situation of public space construction and development in the ancient city,evaluative data of local residents’ perceptions of spatial quality factors in the ancient city,and quantitative research using Amos software with the constructed equation model,the impact of spatial elements in the ancient city based on the data results was analyzed and further proposed layout reconstruction,functional reshaping,and environmental impact.Finally,spatial planning and renewal strategies are proposed to support the quality development of public space.
