| With the continuous consolidation and development of the current international trade pattern of economic globalization and production globalization, industrial development in the region plays an increasingly important role in promoting trade and export. As the core transportation hub of waterway transportation, the functions of modern ports are no longer limited to traditional ship transshipment and cargo loading and unloading, and begin to have commercial functions and industrial aggregation functions, connecting international and domestic markets, and becoming a comprehensive logistics system and window for external economic interaction. The port radiation area brings together a large number of talents, capital, information, science and technology and other advantageous elements, which greatly promotes the development of port industry and trade exports. In the current international trade, marine transportation is favored, and the location advantages and throughput scale of seaports are much larger than those of inland ports, but cannot ignore the impact of inland ports on the mainland economy and port-side industries. This paper argues that in the process of urbanization, urban centers tend to be closer to inland ports, and the port-side industries in the area radiated by the ports are also accelerating the aggregation and development, which in turn promotes the trade and export of port-side industries. The port-side industries selected in this paper are mainly commodity-related industries, which have high reference significance. The proximity of inland ports to urban centers is measured by proximity, and the measurement index is weighted distance weighted by the permanent population of the city, which comprehensively considers the population agglomeration factor and the geographical distance between the urban center and the city’s largest inland port(port area). The Yangtze River Economic Belt is one of China’s important top-level strategies and plays an important role in China’s economic development. The Yangtze River Economic Belt has the vast hinterland of China’s Yangtze River Basin, the golden waterway has unique water conservancy conditions and shipping advantages, there are many inland ports, and the advantages of port industry aggregation are obvious, with many research samples and high research value. This paper selects the relevant data of 22 port cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2004 to 2015,establishes panel data for empirical research, including direct effect analysis and mediation effect analysis, and finally summarizes and puts forward relevant policy suggestions on urban industry and port layout according to the empirical results. |
