| Titanium complex grease is a new generation of high-performance lubricant with good friction and wear reduction,long life,better oxidation stability and good biocompatibility,which can effectively reduce the friction and wear of machinery,improve the energy use efficiency and reduce the equipment failure rate.This thesis researches the preparation technology of titanium complex grease,and analyzes the influence of base oil type and ratio,compound thickener raw material and ratio on the performance of titanium complex grease.And the grease formation mechanism of the grease is explored and analyzed.By adding zirconium phosphate friction-reducing and anti-wear additives,its effect on the tribological performance of the titanium complex grease was investigated in detail,the mechanism of the action of the titanium complex grease as well as the additives was obtained by combining with the analysis of X-ray electron spectroscopy(XPS)instrument.The main contents are as follows:(1)The raw material formulation and preparation process of the titanium complex grease were optimized and improved through experiments to determine the best preparation scheme.The base oil mass ratio of MVI300 and 150BS is 1:5 compound oil,compound thickener raw material stearic acid,benzoic acid,isopropyl titanate and deionized water,the best material quantity ratio is 1:1:2.1:3.15,saponification temperature is 85~95℃,the highest refining temperature is controlled at 190℃.The most prepared titanium complex grease with this scheme has excellent physicochemical properties with a dropping point of 280.7°C and a 1/4cone penetration of 71.2/0.1 mm.The intermediate products in six time periods during the preparation process were analyzed by using Fourier infrared spectroscopy,and the study found that the condensation reaction was generated at the high temperature refining stage,and the structures of Ti-O-Ti were formed to connect with each other.(2)Zirconium phosphate(Zr P)was used as a friction-reducing and anti-wear additive for the titanium complex grease and compared with graphite.The concentration gradients were set to 1 wt%,2 wt%,3 wt%,4 wt%and 5 wt%.When the additive was used singly,the study showed that the concentration of zirconium phosphate and graphite was 2 wt%,the lowest friction coefficient was achieved,with a decrease of 10.8%and 18.8%compared to the base grease.When the concentration of zirconium phosphate and graphite is 3wt%,the lowest wear spot diameter is achieved,former fell by 22.3%and latter by 23%compared to the base grease.Graphite has better friction reduction performance than zirconium phosphate,at low concentration,zirconium phosphate has better anti-wear performance than graphite.(3)Then the synergistic effect of the two additives was investigated,the first way is to fix the additive zirconium phosphate and graphite in the ratio of 1:1,the same concentration was set to 1~5 wt%,when the concentration was 3wt%,the friction coefficient decreased by 23.1%and the wear scar diameter decreased by 20.7%,the second way is to fix the additive in the concentration of 2wt%and 3wt%with the zirconium phosphate and graphite.The second way is to fix the additive concentration to 2 wt%and 3 wt%,and its ratio of zirconium phosphate and graphite are set to 4 groups,which are 1:4,2:3,3:2 and 4:1,respectively.When the additive concentration is 2 wt%and the ratio is 3:2,the friction coefficient decreases by 28.6%,the wear scar diameter decreases by 21.8%,when the additive concentration is 3 wt%and the ratio is 2:3,the friction coefficient decreases by 32.9%and the wear scar diameter decreases by 19.6%.(4)Application of X-ray electron spectrometer(XPS)for elemental analysis of the steel ball surface and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)for microscopic observation of the wear spot surface to reveal the mechanism of friction reduction and anti-wear in the lubrication process of compound complex grease.It was found that the grease mainly through the role of working conditions factors,soap fibers in the base oil overflow to produce lubrication effect and their own macromolecular physical adsorption.Additives through their own structure between the slip,physical accumulation and filling and chemical reaction to generate friction film(Fe3C,Ti O2,Zr O2)these three ways to bring the effect of friction reduction and anti-wear. |
