In recent years, the drone industry has been developing rapidly and logistics drones are gradually ushering in spring. As the development of drones is on the rise, the demand for drone pilots is also growing and medium to large regional logistics drones are starting to operate. And starting to run means that medium and large regional logistics drone pilots are needed. At present, there is no training system for medium and large scale regional logistics UAV pilots in China,so research is urgently needed. This paper examines the core competencies of pilots to provide a theoretical basis for a training system for pilots of medium and large regional logistics drones. The ability to control transitions is crucial for pilots of medium and large regional logistics drones,so this thesis examines the competency of transitions based on the competency of pilots of medium and large regional logistics drones, laying some foundation for the development of civil aviation drones.Firstly, the definition and classification of drones are explained, leading to the positioning of medium and large regional logistics drones. Then, the scenarios in which medium and large regional logistics drones work are described. The environment of medium and large logistics UAVs is divided into four dimensions: environmental dimension, spatial dimension, state dimension and staff dimension;based on this, the working scenarios of medium and large logistics UAVs are classified, and this topic is divided into the following five categories: ideal flight scenarios, standard flight scenarios, special flight scenarios and emergency flight scenarios.Secondly, the manned aircraft competency and UAV competency are analyzed and compared, and it is pointed out that the development of large UAVs should draw on the model of manned aircraft.Again, manned aircraft transitions as well as unmanned aircraft transitions are studied. In the area of manned aircraft transitions, the study examines the transitions and the transitions plan;in the area of unmanned aircraft transitions, the study examines the requirements for unmanned aircraft transitions and the transitions plan. The purpose of the study is to analyze the similarities and differences between manned and unmanned aircraft transitions and to prepare the ground for the study of the competencies required of pilots of medium and large scale regional logistics drones. The competencies are then sorted out and a preliminary model of the competencies of the pilot of a medium to large regional logistics UAV is developed by analyzing the competencies of the manned aircraft, the adjusted competencies and the relevant UAV competencies. Finally, hierarchical analysis(AHP)was introduced to construct a judgement matrix, find the weights accounted for by each indicator and conduct consistency tests. The evaluation model is then developed, cases are selected for analysis and finally the validity of the system is verified. On this basis,a competency-based talent training model is developed to solve some of the problems of training medium and large regional logistics unmanned pilots, and to provide some research basis for the future development of medium and large regional logistics unmanned aircraft.
