| With the increase of national cultural self-confidence,the recognition of incense culture is also rising year by year, and this elegant art which has been inherited for thousands of years is quietly reviving.Based on the analysis and research of incense brands in the market, there are still more incense companies in the brand image and promotion in a casual state, usually with the brand name and a simple background color composition packaging image,in recognition, artistic sense of a large defect. This kind of old style and dull form of fragrance packaging can not play an effective role in attracting consumers, not only can not establish brand loyalty, but also to a certain extent deviated from the inner aesthetic needs of consumer groups. The article takes the Suzhou garden window as the entry point, and introduces the garden plant form and the fragrance of flowers and trees into the packaging design of fragrance products. On the one hand,it can enhance the artistic beauty of the fragrance packaging with the beautifying and decorative properties of the window pattern, and on the other hand,it can also integrate the cultural properties of the window pattern into the fragrance packaging to enhance its spiritual connotation.Based on the above purpose, the article firstly clarifies the historical development of Chinese incense culture one by one through the study of relevant literature. And based on online research,a comparative study of the common problems in the packaging of incense products on sale in the market was conducted.Afterwards,we conducted field research in three representative classical gardens of Jiangnan, namely the Humble Administrator’s Garden, the Lion Grove and the Canglang Pavilion in Suzhou, and analyzed the patterns of the windows in the gardens by means of live-action photography and post-production white-out reproduction,in search of their built-in formal patterns. After investigation and research,it was found that the patterns of the windows were mostly simplifications or reconstructions of natural plant forms, which was in line with the Chinese incense culture’s belief in "natural authenticity" and confirmed the feasibility of integrating the above elements into the packaging design of incense products. In the design practice, the author selected seasonal flowers and trees with representative fragrance patterns in Suzhou gardens, refined their morphological characteristics, combined them with the inherent formal patterns of the funnel windows, and finally applied them to the packaging design of incense products in the form of auxiliary patterns. In addition, through the collated questionnaire data,it can be seen that consumers nowadays prefer pull-out packaging and lid packaging. Therefore,in the later stage of practice,a variety of fragrance packaging designs were developed based on these two types of box structures, and the applications were expanded on this basis.Exploring the application of Suzhou garden window pattern in fragrance packaging design is not only a search for Chinese aesthetic art,but also a new way to effectively revitalize the traditional pattern, which is a new path of creative integration of decorative aesthetics and pragmatism. The organic combination of the two,to a certain extent, broadens the design pattern of Chinese fragrance packaging in terms of thinking, and also makes the traditional pattern and modern packaging design achieve a win-win situation. |
