In recent years,maritime oil spills have occurred frequently.The disc skimmer has become one of the most commonly used oil spill recovery equipment due to its simple structure,ease of deployment,and good oil recovery performance.The disc reactor is the core component of the disc skimmer,and its surface film-forming characteristics directly affect the oil recovery efficiency of the disc skimmer.Studying the surface film-forming characteristics of the disc reactor and proposing corresponding optimization strategies is of great significance for the design and development of more intelligent and efficient disc skimmers.This article takes the disc reactor as the research object and uses a combination of computer simulation and experimental methods to explore the surface film-forming characteristics of the disc reactor under different spatial structures and working conditions,and provides corresponding optimization analysis.The research results can provide a reference basis for the development of intelligent and efficient disc skimmers.The main research contents and conclusions of this article are as follows:(1)The mechanism of oil film formation on the surface of a disc was explored using computer simulation,and the solid standard disc was optimized.The calculation results showed that the thickness and flow characteristics of the oil film on both sides of the disc were symmetric.The film formation on the flanged disc followed a similar pattern as the standard solid disc,but the former had better oil carrying capacity than the latter.(2)Further optimization analysis was conducted on the parameters of the flanged disc,and the optimal flanged disc was obtained.The influence of external conditions such as immersion depth,disc speed,and oil viscosity on the surface film formation characteristics of the optimal flanged disc was emphasized.The analysis showed that the optimal flanged disc had a flange position located at the edge of the disc,a flange width of 5 mm,and a disc thickness of 8 mm.The immersion depth of the optimal flanged disc was as deep as possible,but less than the radius.The best operating speed for oil collection was in the range of 120~150 rpm,and the oil viscosity was best between 0.08~0.2kg/(m·s).(3)To address the slow flow of oil film under high viscosity oil,an optimized strategy of opening windows on the disc was proposed.The research showed that the flanged disc with the window opening strategy had a faster oil film flow rate,thinner average thickness,and higher average surface updating frequency.The window opening measures were helpful for the flanged disc to recover high viscosity spilled oil.(4)A small-scale disc oil collection test device was built to test and verify the optimal flange disc and window flange disc.The results showed that as the speed increased,the amount of oil collected by the disc increased first and then decreased.Excessive speed would lead to an increase in the free water content in the recovered spilled oil.The optimal flanged disc had significantly improved oil collection efficiency and adaptability to high speed compared to the standard solid disc.A thicker spilled oil layer was more conducive to the operation of the oil collection machine.Under high viscosity oil,the flanged disc with the window opening collected more oil in unit time,and the window opening measures improved the recovery performance of the flanged disc for high viscosity oil.
