In the digital age,digital twins provide strong support for industrial upgrades driven by data,such as intelligent factories,digital production lines,and smart parks.Data plays a crucial role in digital twin and product design,supporting and helping target users make decisions and accurate analysis.Due to the rapid changes in data,in the design of digital twins,researchers need to transform their design thinking from "problem-solving" to "problem-finding," in order to better assist target users in quickly identifying problems,exploring the essence of phenomena,and improving decisionmaking effectiveness.Based on the theory of thinking in data and the data-informed decision-making framework,this article proposes a digital twin design strategy from the perspective of data thinking to support and guide digital twin design practice.This strategy emphasizes the analysis process of decomposing data layer by layer,analyzing from whole to part and from shallow to deep,in order to more reasonably express and interpret the essential meaning of data.In addition,this strategy combines rational thinking with intuitive thinking,emphasizing critical awareness,creative thinking,and curiosity about data in the design process,and presenting data from the perspective of "problem-finding." It focuses on rational expression of data in logic,and intuitive expression in visual colors and form styles.In the design practice part,this article applies the data thinking-based digital twin design strategy to the digital twin design of new energy swap stations for Company A,using digital design tools to establish a digital twin system for the new energy swap stations.This system is based on a 3D city model and a digital model of the new energy swap stations,with data visualization charts as the carrier attributes,constructing spatial perception data visualization to improve users’ visual perception ability,helping users to perceive the overall operational status and equipment running status of the swap stations from multiple perspectives,and thus improving global control ability,reducing maintenance costs and risks,and providing optimization suggestions and decision support for the construction and operation of Company A’s new energy swap stations.
