Study On The Architectural Decorationcharacteristics Of Buddhist Temples Inquanzhou Area

As a world cultural heritage city,Quanzhou has a very rich Buddhist architectural cultural heritage.In recent years,with the rapid development of Quanzhou’s economy,society,and culture,the regional characteristics and connotations of Quanzhou’s Buddhist temple architectural culture have attracted widespread attention from the public.In this context,a systematic study is conducted on the architectural decoration characteristics of Buddhist temples in Quanzhou region to reveal their regional characteristics and cultural connotations,and to demonstrate the diversified development path of local Buddhist culture.Through a review of relevant papers,the author found that there are many studies on the decoration of Buddhist temples in Quanzhou both domestically and internationally,including books on the characteristics of a certain part of the building,such as the roof,and papers on the decoration of a certain building,temple,or several temples.However,based on the information currently available to the author,There is currently no systematic classification and comparative analysis of the decorative characteristics of different types of temple buildings in the entire Quanzhou area.Therefore,in this paper,the author will focus on how to classify and what characteristics different types of temple decoration have.On the basis of being familiar with the theory,the author will conduct a field research,carry out a comparative study of the research data,and conduct a thorough exploration of the common characteristics of the architectural decoration of Buddhist temples in Quanzhou,such as the ideological origin and other internal causes of decoration.After studying the architectural decoration of Buddhist temples in Quanzhou,the author has drawn some conclusions,including the characteristics of Buddhist architectural decoration themes in Quanzhou,the different decorative characteristics of different Buddhist temple buildings in Quanzhou,and various internal factors that affect decoration.However,there are also some shortcomings in the writing process of this article,including a lack of segmented analysis of time lines for samples from different eras,a lack of more detailed analysis of various decorations,and a lack of comparison of decorations in other coastal areas that can be compared.Due to the limited research time and energy of scholars,we hope to improve them in the future.With the development of the times,many cultures are quietly disappearing,and the architectural decoration of Quanzhou Buddhist temples is no exception a huge cultural asset.This article systematically summarizes the architectural decoration characteristics of Buddhist temples in Quanzhou area,hoping to deepen people’s understanding of the cultural connotation of Buddhist architectural decoration and effectively enhance their enthusiasm for the inheritance and protection of Buddhist architectural decoration art.
