| 《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》(Luo Yang Qielan ji)is a book describing the whole social landscape of Luoyang during the northern Wei dynasty from the outline of the temples in Luoyang.It not only describes the building(including individual,group,city and all man-made environment),but also includes the activities of the people in the building.With the excavation of the ruins of northern Wei dynasty in Luoyang in recent years,more and more empirical evidence has been presented on the buildings recorded in 《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》Buddhist Luoyang,which further confirms that 《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》Buddhist Luoyang is a document of great research significance.This paper takes "《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》" as a starting point,and based on the information recorded in the book,it attempts to infer the distribution and spatial distribution characteristics of the temples in Luoyang during the northern Wei dynasty.The paper mainly answers three questions about the sinicization of temple buildings in Luoyang during the Wei,Jin and southern and northern dynasties:1.The sinicization phenomenon,process and characteristics of the temple reflected in the Buddhist Luoyang《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》.How did the evolution of Buddhist architecture from the style of the western regions to the temple layout recorded in the 《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》occur?Taking the text of 《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》as the clue and starting point,this paper explores the layout characteristics of the temple in Luoyang during the Wei,Jin and southern and northern dynasties from the perspective of architectural exploration of space,and summarizes the diversified layout methods under the construction approach of how far away: tower center layout,courtyard layout,garden layout.The third chapter makes a more careful analysis of the text of Song yun,Huisheng’s journey of the fifth volume,and makes a graphical expression,trying to clarify the source of the prototype architecture of the temple introduced into Luoyang in the Han dynasty,and then compares the similarities and differences between the layout of the prototype temple and the text to find the evolution process.At the same time,from the perspective of word frequency statistics,this paper makes a statistical analysis of the name and activities of the Buddhist temple in the text of Buddhist Luoyang,as another evidence of the sinicization of temple architecture and temple functions.The fourth chapter further describes the three characteristics of the sinicization of Buddhist monasteries in the northern Wei dynasty by comparing the characteristics of the Buddhist monasteries after the sinicization of the Buddhist monasteries in Luoyang with those before: the generation of the pavilion tower,the courtyard layout and the gardening of the monasteries.2.Analyze the reason of Buddhist temple with the clue of 《A Record of Buddhist Temples in Luoyang》Chapter five answers why the temple layout should be sinicized? First is the diversified construction way make Buddhist monasteries layout and the integration of traditional Chinese architecture layout,,through the temple name contains Chinese culture information,Han’s scenery and the relationship between the temple garden,the Chinese Buddhism advocated farming Zen cultivate one’s morality makes in the temple garden,planting fruit trees to demonstrate the change of the connotation of Buddhist monasteries have influenced by Chinese culture.3.On the significance and enlightenment of sinicization of Buddhist temple.Chapter six try to analyze why the early temple can be sinicized on the basis of the characteristics of the temple sinicized.Finally,the influence and significance of the sinicization of monasteries in the northern Wei dynasty are introduced,which is more conducive to the development and change of monasteries,and finally leads to a reflection on the invasion of western architectural culture. |
