A Study On The Construction Model Of New Genre Public Art In Community Building

With the continuous advancement of globalization and urbanization,contemporary society is facing a series of contradictions and problems,such as the lack of humanity,the decline of culture,ecological destruction,a monotonous landscape,and weak industries.The community,as the basic unit of organic social governance,is particularly sharp in the face of these social problems.However,through relevant investigations,it is found that the current development trend of communities is homogenous,and it does not stand out in solving the aforementioned social problems.To address this issue,while improving the quality of living space,we should start from a diversified perspective,apply the concepts of community building and new genre public art to reshape community public space in an artistic and participatory way,and create a community environment that integrates humanistic care,cultural revival,ecological protection,landscape design,and industrial revitalization.Through the analysis of relevant literature and practical cases at home and abroad,it is found that the previous research model of new genre public art intervention in community building is relatively single,which is obviously insufficient to solve a series of contradictions and problems presented by the current society.In this paper,taking community building as the perspective,community public space as the research object,and new genre public art as the medium,based on the research of relevant literature and practical cases at home and abroad,using the theory of community building and new genre public art,a theoretical framework covering "people,culture,place,landscape,and industry" is constructed."People" includes community residents,government,artists,community organizations,etc.,creating shared spaces that meet diverse human needs through extensive public participation;"culture" mainly considers the inheritance and development of local cultural resources;"place" mainly considers the improvement of community ecological environment problems;"landscape" mainly includes the artistic transformation of community shared space;"industry" mainly considers the excavation and development of community industry.At the same time,corresponding strategies are proposed,namely,the cultivation of residents’ participation awareness and the embodiment of community humanistic care,the continuation and revitalization of traditional culture,ecological environment protection,landscape environment optimization,improvement of living environment quality,and development of local industries.Finally,taking Shangdu Cultural District as an example,the basic situation of the development of old communities is analyzed,that is,the current situation of "people,culture,place,landscape,and industry".Specific measures are proposed for the problems of space status,providing reference for the later research on the construction model of new genre public art in community building.
