In recent years,rapid economic development has led to the improvement of transportation networks in the Gansu and Qinghai regions,increased leisure time for the general public,faster growth in tourism consumption and the emergence of multi-dimensional tourism products.The two provinces of Gansu and Qinghai are rich in tourism resources,and the Gansu-Qinghai Great Loop is a market innovation in the new tourism industry,attracting large numbers of tourists and enhancing the overall competitiveness of the tourism industry in the northwest.Analysing the current situation of tourism development,tourism economic linkages and the potential for future development of the cities and states in the region is of great significance in optimising the spatial layout of the tourism economy,promoting the balanced and coordinated development of the regional tourism economy along the route and deepening tourism cooperation between Gansu and Qinghai provinces in the context of the Belt and Road.This paper takes the eleven node cities and states of the Gansu-Qingdao Great Ring Road as the research object,and makes comprehensive use of social network theory,core-edge theory,point-axis development theory and synergy theory,combined with literature,to investigate the spatial structure of the tourism economic network of the Gansu-Qingdao Great Ring Road and its influencing factors by using social network analysis,spatial analysis and geographic probe.The first part is the introduction,which contains the background of the study,the purpose and significance of the study,the content of the study,the research methodology,the technical roadmap and the focus,difficulties and innovation points of the study.The second part defines the relevant concepts and theoretical foundations,including the concepts of tourism economic linkages,tourism economic spatial networks and the combing of social network theory,core-edge theory,point-axis development theory and synergy theory.The third part is an analysis of the spatial linkages of tourism economy in the cities and states of the Gansu-Qinghai Great Ring Road,including the definition of the scope of the study,the physical geography and the socio-economic profile,and the construction of a tourism economic linkage model to analyse the degree of tourism economic linkages.The fourth part analyses the spatial network structure of the tourism economy in the node cities and states of the Gansu-Qinghai Great Ring Road with the core-edge model and the centrality model.The fifth part explores the influencing factors of the spatial network structure of the tourism economy in the cities and states of the Gan-Qinghai Great Ring Road based on the selected indicators.Based on the results of the spatial association and spatial network analysis of the tourism economy,the sixth section puts forward corresponding suggestions and strategies for the sustainable development of the Gansu-Qingdao Great Ring Road.The seventh part is the conclusion and outlook of this paper.The results of the study show that:(1)the tourism economic linkage of each node city and state in the Gan-Qingdao Great Ring Road from 2011 to 2019 shows an increasing trend,with a significant increase in the linkage between cities and states.Jiuquan,Xining,Jiayuguan and Lanzhou are always at the top of the total tourism economic linkage.(2)The tourism economic linkage of the node cities and states in the Ganqing Great Ring Road has gradually increased,and the effect of the core cities and states on the tourism economic radiation influence of the edge zone cities and states has gradually increased,and the core area is closely linked with the edge zone cities and states.The spatial distribution of point degree centrality shows a pattern of "high in the east and low in the west";the regional differences in proximity centrality are more obvious and the spatial distribution is uneven,showing a pattern of "high in the east and low in the centre",with Lanzhou and Xining always being the cities with high values of proximity centrality.Lanzhou,Zhangye and Xining are always the cities with high proximity centrality.Lanzhou,Zhangye and Xining have a stronger radiation-driving capacity in the network structure;the regional differences in intermediate centrality are more obvious,showing a pattern of "high in the southeast and low in other regions".(3)Traffic factors,tourism resource endowment and capital dynamics are the most important influencing factors of the spatial network structure of tourism economy.The formation of the spatial network structure of the tourism economy in each node city and state of the Ganqing Great Ring Road is the result of the joint action of various influencing factors,and there is a complex and comprehensive relationship between the spatial network structure of the tourism economy and the influencing factors.(4)Five strategies and suggestions are put forward,including Lanzhou and Xining as the core cities,radiating the tourism economy of the surrounding cities and states,and jointly promoting the joint development of the high,middle and low areas,in order to provide theoretical reference and reference for the optimization of the spatial pattern of the tourism economy of each node city and state on the Gan-Qingdao Great Ring Road and promote the development of the tourism economy of each node city and state.
