| With the rapid development of Internet technology and the rise of online bookstores and digital reading products,traditional physical bookstores,which mainly sell books,are weak in their ability to withstand the impact,thus falling into business difficulties.At the same time,under the tide of globalization,multiple cultures have entered the stage of mutual integration,which also has a negative impact on the field of architectural space to some extent.As an important part of urban cultural space,physical bookstores inevitably have the problem of spatial homogeneity due to the lack of cultural connotation and regional characteristics.Faced with the comprehensive upgrading of consumer demand,traditional physical bookstores no longer adapt to the development of The Times,while the new retail concept arising from the emergence of the Internet can provide opportunities for the transformation and upgrading of physical bookstores.Among them,the consumption scene is one of the important characteristics of the new retail,and the construction of the special space relying on the cultural theme can increase the spatial connotation and at the same time give the consumption scene more unique shopping experience.Suzhou Garden is one of the representative cultures of Suzhou and a model of Chinese gardening art,with distinct regional cultural characteristics.This paper takes the new retail concept and the theme of Suzhou garden as the entry point to solve problems,and discusses how to build a physical bookstore that can adapt to the development of The Times and has the characteristics of Suzhou regional culture from various aspects such as business strategy and space design.It can satisfy both the material and spiritual needs of consumers,and thus alleviate the problems of business dilemma and spatial homogenization faced by physical bookstores.The content of the paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part of the paper,which mainly describes the research background,research purpose and research significance of the paper,defines the relevant concepts of the topic,sorts out the research status at home and abroad,and establishes the research framework of the paper.The second and third chapters are the basic research parts of this paper.The second chapter is an overview of the development of physical bookstores under the new retail concept,which mainly summarizes the formation reasons,commercial characteristics,operation process and the historical evolution process of physical bookstores.On this basis,combined with field research and case analysis,This paper summarizes the transformation trend and current situation of physical bookstores under the new retail concept.The third chapter mainly expounds the way of space construction based on the theme of Suzhou gardens,and explores the use of visual materials and the way of space atmosphere construction based on the concept and cultural temperament of Suzhou gardens.The fourth chapter summarizes and deduces the design strategy of Suzhou landscape-themed physical bookstore under the new retail concept on the basis of the second and third chapters.Firstly,it proposes that the design of bookstore should follow the design principles of people-oriented,adapting to local conditions,unifying function form and theme,cultural inheritance and innovation.Secondly,it expounds the business strategy of the bookstore from three aspects: perfecting the intelligent construction of the bookstore,constructing the profit model of the bookstore and creating the creative cultural brand.Finally,combined with design cases,specific design methods are proposed from four aspects: site selection,functional space organization,architectural shape and lighting.In Chapter 5,based on the above theoretical research results,the design practice of a plot in Pingjiang historical and cultural district of Suzhou is carried out to provide practical evidence for the theoretical research. |
