With the continuous development of China’s rural revitalization,small traffic volume rural highway construction scale gradually expand,the roadside traffic safety protection demand is increasing.Due to highway construction funds are limited,cannot widen the roadbed or set retaining walls,guardrail column set in the soil shoulder,resulting in set in the road side of the waveform beam guardrail column outside the soil shoulder protection layer thickness is not enough.At the same time,in the water pond section,the road side guardrail length set length does not meet the minimum length requirements of the specification,can not ensure the safety and protection performance of the guardrail play.Therefore,this thesis for the column outside of the soil shoulder protection layer thickness is not enough,near the pond section guardrail length is not enough to set the two special road conditions were launched to study,analysis to come up with a reasonable and feasible rural highway road side guardrail set way.In this thesis,when the thickness of the protective layer of the roadside guardrail column base is not enough,the guardrail setting is optimized by analyzing four ways,such as extending the concrete on the soil shoulder,increasing the column embedding depth,replacing the column base material and increasing the column spacing;when the length of the guardrail is not enough for the pond section,the overall improvement of the guardrail safety protection is improved by analyzing two ways,such as increasing the column spacing and improving the guardrail level;using software CATIA,HYPERMESH established a three-dimensional model of guardrail and guardrail base,joint software LS-DYNA for collision model calculation,using software HYPERVIEW visualization model calculation results,with guardrail safety evaluation index as the model evaluation index to verify the parameters of the collision model such as travel trajectory,energy change,guardrail displacement,guardrail stress,speed and acceleration.According to the simulation model to meet the safety evaluation index,analyze the stress and displacement of the model to optimize the guardrail setting,analysis of the guardrail respectively proposed two kinds of rural highway special roadside guardrail specific setting method:(1)for the column protection layer thickness is not enough,the guardrail can be taken to set the way:(1)soil shoulder pavement using the thickness of20 cm of concrete in the soil shoulder extends not less than 10cm;(2)roadside slope 1:1.5when the column needs to be buried at least 1.5m deep,roadside slope 1:1 when the column buried at least 1.7m deep;(3)width and height of 50 cm concrete base.(2)for the pond section of the guardrail length at both ends is not enough,the guardrail can be taken to set the way:(1)column spacing 2m,the minimum length of the guardrail is not less than 16m;(2)increase the guardrail plate thickness 3mm,column spacing 4m,the minimum length of the guardrail is 24 m,column spacing 2m,the minimum length of the guardrail 12 m.This thesis through the rural highway guardrail setting method and the minimum length of the guardrail set requirements of the study,to improve the rural highway road side guardrail protection capacity and road traffic safety level has very important significance.
