| Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks(VANETs)enables various applications such as information sharing, safety warning, and entertainment, providing important support for the development of intelligent transportation systems. However, due to the openness of wireless communication,VANETs are vulnerable to various types of malicious attacks. To address the security, privacy, and trust issues, identity authentication and trust management are the current main solutions.Existing authentication protocols have problems such as low efficiency, high overhead, and inability to resist internal attackers who bypass identity authentication.Trust mechanisms can evaluate the credibility of authorized vehicles, but current trust models suffer from issues such as a single dimension of trust measurement and weak resistance to attacks. Therefore, this paper proposes a trust evaluation and conditional privacy-protecting authentication method for group vehicles in VANETs to effectively ensure the trustworthiness, security, and privacy of VANETs.The main research content of this article is as follows:(1)A reputation evaluation scheme for group vehicles in VANETs is proposed. To meet the high bandwidth and low latency requirements of vehicular networks, edge computing is introduced, and a distributed trust evaluation framework is designed, consisting of group-to-group vehicle trust evaluation,vehicle-to-vehicle trust evaluation within groups, and global vehicle reputation evaluation. This scheme measures the credibility of vehicles and messages in groups from multiple dimensions, such as direct trust, recommended trust, feedback trust, and historical reputation, and can effectively resist malicious slander attacks and switch attacks.Simulation experiments demonstrate that this scheme has higher precision and recall rates under different attack models and better performance than other schemes.(2)A conditional privacy-preserving authentication scheme based on trusted collaborative vehicles is proposed. The trust model above is used to select trusted collaborative vehicles to establish groups for fast verification of messages within the group. In the scheme, vehicles use anonymous identities to protect user privacy, and a reputation system is introduced to enhance the reliability of VANETs.The proposed security authentication scheme uses elliptic curve encryption algorithm and supports batch verification.Security analysis shows that it meets various security requirements, and comparative experiments demonstrate that it can effectively reduce computation and communication overhead compared to other schemes.(3)Based on the above research,a vehicle reputation evaluation system that supports privacypreserving authentication is built.Firstly, the requirements analysis and architecture design of the prototype system are completed. Then, common web development frameworks are used to implement functional modules such as login and registration, backend management, identity authentication, and trust evaluation. Finally, tests are carried out on the authentication and trust evaluation functions. The test results show that the prototype system can effectively identify illegal messages, compute the reputation values of vehicles, and detect malicious vehicle nodes, verifying the feasibility of the proposed methods and theories in this paper. |
