The research aims to explore pocket park biophilic design as a means of repairing the relationship between humans and nature by considering the relationship between humans and nature from the perspective of biophilic design and utilizing approaches that promote nature connectedness. This includes examining the mechanisms and system construction methods of pocket park biophilic design to provide new design ideas and comprehensive evidence for biophilic design. The paper focuses on the problem of neglecting the relationship between humans and nature in domestic biophilic design and the reasons behind this issue, using various methods such as literature research, big data analysis, and evidence-based research.By summarizing the relevant theoretical concepts and principles, the paper emphasizes that biophilic design should not only focus on the natural elements.By summarizing the understanding of human biophilia across cultural and temporal dimensions and the biophilic practices in different social environments, the paper identifies the core demands for improving the relationship between humans and nature and further demonstrates the necessity of introducing nature connectedness.By incorporating nature connectedness into biophilic design, the paper generates mechanisms to improve the relationship between humans and nature. The paper also proposes a framework for biophilic design based on the concept of nature connectedness, which combines five approaches to enhance nature connectedness with three experiential forms and 24 attributes of biophilic design. Finally, the paper conducts semantic differential analysis of user evaluations of popular parks in Wuhan using big data to uncover the perceived preferences of citizens for urban park landscapes.Building on theoretical research, the paper selects three pocket parks in Wuhan for design practice. With a focus on improving the relationship between humans and nature, the paper aims to create multi-dimensional biophilic experiences that enhance the attractiveness of nature, promote the healing effects of natural landscapes, mitigate the health risks of urban development, and foster a harmonious living environment.
