Research On Performance Evaluation Of China Express Airlines

Civil airline is an important bridge for promoting the economic development,personnel exchanges,and information transmission.After the outbreak of COVID-19,various policies have been taken to reduce the movement and concentration of people,resulting in a sharp drop of the demand for air transport.It has caused an unprecedented impact on airlines,with declining performance and cash shortage.And airline companies still face many difficulties such as the epidemic,operating losses,and losses spiraled.At present,there is no widely accepted theoretical scheme to analyze the operating conditions of airlines during the epidemic period and provide solutions.In this paper,the performance of China Express Airlines under the influence of COVID-19 is evaluated by combining two methods of economic value added(EVA)and balanced scorecard(BSC),which is the case study of China Express Airlines.Based on financial data of China Express Airlines since the outbreak of COVID-19,the thesis proposes a comprehensive performance evaluation method.The thesis analyzes the financial and non-financial status of China Express Airlines and finds some defects in nonfinancial indicators,equity capital,indicators correlation,and corporate strategy.Therefore,we clarify the necessity and feasibility of using the EVA-BSC system to evaluate the performance of China Express Airlines.Then,four dimensions of BSC are selected.Among them,EVA is taken as the core indicator of the financial dimension in BSC.So then the comprehensive evaluation system of China Express Airlines is established.The index weight of EVA-BSC is set by combining expert scoring and analytic hierarchy process(AHP).The scores of the performance indicators from 2019 to 2021 in the EVA-BSC are obtained by questionnaire survey.The scores of four BSC dimensions and comprehensive evaluation are obtained by fuzzy comprehensive evaluation(FCE).The comprehensive evaluation results of China Express Airlines from 2019 to 2021 are respectively "good","good" and "average".Finally,the implementation suggestions of EVA-BSC system are put forward,including the establishment of assessment department,communication system,reward and punishment standard and feedback system.
