Due to the special hot and dry climate in Turpan,the heating and cooling problems in winter and summer are particularly prominent.However,the large daily temperature difference and abundant solar energy resources in the region make it suitable for the use of building thermal storage technology to enhance building thermal comfort and save building energy consumption,as well as to weaken the outstanding contradiction between the use of solar energy in winter and summer through reasonable design.In this paper,we analyze the climatic environment of Turpan region,extract the experience of thermal storage in residential buildings,and investigate the demand for new residential buildings to develop a design model for improving the thermal storage performance of new residential buildings in Turpan.First,by analyzing the climate conditions of Turpan region and the thermal comfort needs of the residents,and by using Climate Consultant software for passive climate design analysis according to climate design zoning,it is concluded that the most important design strategy is to use building thermal storage,sun shading and building thermal storage + night ventilation in summer and passive solar technology in winter in Turpan region,which has large daily temperature difference and abundant solar energy resources,Solar energy resources,the need and suitable for the use of building thermal storage technology for solar energy resources storage reuse,in order to solve the problem of summer overheating,while thermal storage materials compared to insulation materials have better environmental control capabilities,used in the envelope structure,conducive to building summer indoor heat in the night for heat dissipation,but the Turpan region in winter solar radiation is less,the lowest point is less than half of the amount of summer solar radiation,more Suitable for direct heat passive solar technology,building heat storage to enhance the role of indoor thermal stability.In the Turpan region,the design of the building’s comprehensive thermal storage performance must take into account the different needs of both winter and summer.Secondly,the research and analysis of the residential houses in Turpan region shows that the government-led housing projects and the construction of new rural areas in Xinjiang,as well as the self-built houses built by residents on their own initiative,have a great demand for low-density,multi-group,densely distributed low-rise courtyard houses in the suburbs and villages,as well as in the central urban areas,where the current spatial situation is characterized by local features such as thick rammed earth,adobe envelope,terraces,gables,semi The space of heavy rammed earth,adobe envelope,terrace,gable,semi-basement,drying room,permeable wall,elevated shed,grapevine and other spaces have great effect on the local climate,but the method of heat storage and utilization of the building is crude,and the current situation of utilization is not optimistic,and there are problems such as avoiding the direction of solar radiation for the consideration of overheating in summer,opening small windows and setting a large number of sunshading components,which lead to low indoor solar radiation heat gain in winter;for the consideration of windproof and heat preservation in winter,the building is closed inward,which leads to At the same time,due to the limitation of materials and technology,there are also problems such as poor heat insulation and thermal insulation performance of building envelope and large building shape coefficient.The use of building thermal storage performance improvement methods to address the different needs of buildings in Turpan in winter and summer for environmental resources,especially solar energy resources,is the key.Then,we present,quantitatively,and partially qualitatively analyze and validate the laws of each building thermal storage performance improvement method that is suitable for Turpan.Optimization design studies are conducted for building envelope,internal thermal storage structure,shading gable,double window system,semi-underground space,double wall system,thermal storage ventilation tower,etc.Finally,we propose and validate the design of the appropriate building thermal storage performance improvement model for Turpan to ensure that each model can be reasonably integrated into the building and improve the comfort and energy efficiency of the building.
