| As a result of urbanisation, the evolution of urban space is closely related to the changes in the movement of the population. On the one hand, the movement of population changes the spatial distribution, quantity and structure of the population between towns and cities, and constantly shapes the development pattern of urban space. On the other hand, the migration and movement of population elements,as a carrier of links between towns and cities, constantly reshapes the correlation structure of urban space. As an important carrier for promoting new urbanisation in China, the rational layout and optimisation of the space of county towns is conducive to integrating various resources, improving people’s quality of life and laying a solid foundation for the implementation of the urbanisation of people. This paper takes Lueyang County as the research area, and follows the research idea of"theoretical foundation-characteristic evolution-mechanism revealing-optimization The research idea of "layout" is followed to explore the history of population movement and the spatial evolution of towns in Loyang County in different periods using relevant data and models, analyse the driving mechanism of the factors influencing population movement, summarise the spatial and temporal coupling relationship between population movement and construction land as well as the coupling degree relationship between population movement and different types of towns, and analyse the effect mechanism of population movement on the spatial evolution of towns. The mechanism of the effect of population movement on the spatial evolution of towns is analysed.Based on this, the future trend of population movement in the county is predicted, and relevant strategies for optimising the layout are proposed. The main conclusions of the study are:(1)Population movements and the spatial evolution of towns in Lueyang County have broadly evolved through three phases; In the initial stage, the population flow in the county is not active, the flow direction is single, the town system in the corresponding period shows the first distribution, the spatial structure is monocentric, the expansion of towns is relatively slow, and the morphological changes are small;in the rapid development stage, the population flow in the county begins to gradually become more frequent, the flow direction is gradually diversified, the town system in the same period turns to the bit order distribution, the spatial structure develops towards polycentric, the town In the stable development stage, population flows continue to be active and the trend of networking is obvious. At this time, the first city in Lueyang County has a high monopoly and the rest of the cities and towns do not have obvious differences in rank.(2)Under the influence of economic, policy, social and natural factors, population movements act on the spatial evolution of towns and cities through internal driving forces and external regulating forces. The magnitude of the forces acting on different types of towns and cities at different stages of spatial evolution varies, resulting in different coupling relationships between population and land use in each town and city.(3)The analysis of the driving forces influencing population movement, the study of the population movement in Lueyang County is still mainly outflow, combined with the development of the town,to propose the optimal layout of the town space at different scales. The study helps to comprehensively grasp the interrelationship and internal mechanism between population movement and urban space, and proposes solutions to the current real-life problems of Lueyang County, such as insufficient development momentum, mismatch of town levels, homogenisation of town functions and failure of public service facilities to meet residents’ needs,so as to optimise the allocation of national land resources and promote the humanistic and scientific development of the new urbanisation construction. |
