Study On The Wisdom Of Building Traditional Village Dwellings In Xinyang And The Renewal Design Of New District Dwellings

With the implementation of the rural revitalisation strategy,the inheritance of traditional residential construction wisdom has become one of the important elements of the cultural conservation strategy of traditional villages in China.In Xinyang,there are a large number of traditional villages.However,as the new areas of traditional villages are gradually expanded,the new houses no longer adopt the layout and decoration style of traditional houses,resulting in the gradual disappearance of the wisdom of regional house construction,leading to the loss of regional style,confusion of plan functions and old enclosure structures.This paper takes the wisdom of traditional dwelling construction as a perspective,and through research and analysis of traditional village dwellings in Xinyang City,the current situation of the development of traditional village dwellings in Xinyang City,the wisdom of traditional dwelling construction in Xinyang City is extracted and collated to propose strategies for the renewal of existing dwellings in new traditional village areas.The paper is divided into five parts.Firstly,it introduces the background,purpose and significance of this study,defines the relevant concepts and research objects,summarises the current situation of domestic and international research,and identifies the research content,research methods and research framework.Secondly,the basic theories related to the research content of this paper are explained,while relevant domestic practice cases are analysed to provide theoretical support for the distillation of the wisdom of traditional residential construction in traditional villages in Xinyang City and the renewal design of existing residential houses in new areas.Through research,mapping,interviews with villagers and questionnaires on residents’ satisfaction with their residences,IPA analysis is conducted to identify the factors that residents consider to be the most influential in their satisfaction with their residences.Afterwards,based on the research and mapping of traditional houses in Xinyang traditional villages and relevant theories,the factors influencing the construction wisdom of traditional houses in Xinyang traditional villages were analysed,the elements of the construction wisdom of traditional houses in Xinyang traditional villages were extracted,the paradigm of traditional houses in Xinyang was summarised,and finally the construction wisdom of traditional houses in Xinyang was extracted and classified into spatial pattern,structural pattern and decoration pattern.Finally,based on the wisdom of Xinyang traditional dwellings,the regeneration principles of the existing dwellings in the new traditional village area of Xinyang are proposed,and the regeneration strategies of the existing dwellings in the new traditional village area of Xinyang are proposed in four aspects: style inheritance,spatial regeneration,envelope structure optimisation and clean energy.The design of the regeneration plan is based on the strategy,which will serve as a reference and basis for the future regeneration design of the existing houses in Xinyang traditional villages.
