This topic uses the concept of cultural gene and the application of virtual reality technology to extract the cultural gene of the Dong ethnic group area in Pogaoding Village,three provinces,and applies it to the design of virtual reality experience products.Through the design of virtual reality experience products,the ethnic culture of Gaoding Village is promoted to tourists to achieve the purpose of protecting and inheriting the Dong ethnic culture of Gaoding Village.Through the research on the willingness of virtual reality tourism promotion products,we found its user groups.Study the needs of user groups in travel,the problems in the promotion of ethnic culture,and the necessity of virtual reality experience products to promote ethnic culture.Through the analysis of the application cases of virtual reality in the tourism industry,the prospects and shortcomings of the existing virtual reality technology in the tourism industry are found.Based on the previous summary,this paper studies the case of cultural gene inheritance and promotion using virtual reality technology,and summarizes and analyzes the role of virtual reality technology in promoting and protecting ethnic cultural genes.Then it analyzes and summarizes the current situation of the inheritance and promotion of Dong’s cultural genes.Through the characteristics and advantages of virtual reality technology in the inheritance and promotion of cultural genes,it improves the shortcomings of virtual reality technology in protecting cultural genes at this stage,and summarizes a new service design mode based on virtual reality technology and combined with the application of cultural genes.In the new mode of service design,virtual reality experience products are the port for stakeholders to connect with each other,and also the carrier for promoting and inheriting national culture.It is the core of service design and the window for Gaoding Village to show the local Dong ethnic culture.In this paper,based on the basic theory of cultural gene extraction,the dominant gene and recessive gene of Gaodingcun are extracted as the basis and applied to the design of virtual reality experience products.It provides a new way for the protection and inheritance of the Dong ethnic culture in Gaoding Village.
