| The rapid development of urban rail transit has promoted the change of transportation mode, and the pedestrian-oriented slow traffic mode has become the main way to connect metro stations and urban spaces. As a new type of compound urban spaces, the walking space around the metro station was an important link connecting the metro and urban space. The improvement of the walkability degree of the space around the metro station was of great significance to improve the walking experience of pedestrians, increase the influence range of the station and enhance the vitality of the city. However, for metro stations in coastal areas, the walking environment and activity groups in the surrounding space were more complex. The diversity of urban functions and the demand characteristics of different groups put forward higher requirements for walking space. Therefore, this paper focused on the walking space around the metro station in the coastal area, and attempted to evaluate the walkability of the space from two aspects: the environment of the walking space and the experience of pedestrians. Then, the optimization strategy of the walking space around the station was proposed, hoping to provide reference for the planning and construction of the metro station in the coastal area. The research was mainly divided into the following three parts:The first part was related background and theoretical foundation research.First of all, this paper reviewed the background and research status of walking space around the metro station in the coastal area.Based on the walkability theory, the paper analyzed the characteristics of the walking space environment, behavior, and main body around the metro station in the coastal area.As a result,a sound theoretical basis has been formed. The second part was the research and application of the walkability evaluation system of the space around metro stations in the coastal area.Based on the theoretical research,a walkability evaluation system of the space around metro stations in the coastal area was constructed from two aspects of walking space environment and pedestrian environment perception. It included 7 levels of land use and development, walking network, coastal space elements, space security, environmental comfort, street convenient and coastal attraction. Then, this paper selected six typical metro stations in Qingdao coastal area for empirical study.A qualitative and quantitative analysis method was used to evaluate the walkability of the space around the metro station in Qingdao coastal area, and the existing problems of walking space around the metro station were analyzed. The third part is the spatial optimization strategy of metro stations in Qingdao coastal area.According to the evaluation results and problem summary, based on the concept of walkability, the optimization strategy of the walking space around the metro station in the coastal area was proposed from four aspects: the land development mode, optimization of pedestrian network, cooperative development of station and sea and the improvement of environmental quality. It was hoped to provide the basis and guidance for the development and construction of walking space around metro station in coastal area.So as to strengthen the connection between the metro station and the coastal space, enhance the regional vitality. |
