| As urbanization continues to advance,China’s cities are facing the transition opportunity from large-scale construction to stock renewal.As an important part of public space and ecological green space within cities,greenways play a vital role in maintaining the ecological integrity of cities,protecting biodiversity,and providing sports and leisure venues for urban residents.Digging deeper into the urban landscape,meeting the usage requirements of residents,and turning greenways into a channel to stimulate urban vitality provide an important medium for urban rejuvenation,so improving the overall low quality of greenways,compounding and enhancing their functions and diversifying their landscape space types has become a thorny issue that needs to be addressed.This paper analyses the correlation between urban catalyst theory and greenways based on a review of domestic and international literature on the subject;it investigates and analyses the current situation of greenways in Qingdao in terms of material and non-material elements with the help of catalyst operation mechanism,summarises the existing problems and demands of greenways in Qingdao with the help of questionnaires,and proposes principles and methods for the landscape design of greenways in Qingdao based on urban catalyst theory.The study also demonstrates the application of the urban catalyst theory to the landscape design of Qingdao’s greenways through the example of the landscape design of Qingdao Shaohai Wetland Park,which can serve as a reference for the optimisation and improvement of the landscape design of Qingdao’s greenways,thereby satisfying the diversified needs of the residents,boosting the vitality of the city and improving its overall quality. |
