Research On Quantitative Identification And Countermeasures Of Patent Thicket

In recent years,as the number of patents around the world continues to grow,the distribution of patents becomes more and more intensive,and the patentees are closely related to each other,the patent jungle has become a phenomenon that cannot be ignored in the field of technology.The patent has gradually evolved from a traditional means of protection to a tool of competition between enterprises,and the patent jungle comes into being with the large increase of research and development achievements.The technical connections in the patent network are increasingly complex.In the face of massive patent data and intricate patent networks,how to quantitatively identify and deal with the phenomenon of patent jungle has become an urgent problem to be studied.Based on this background,this paper improved the identification method of patent jungle and carried out an in-depth study on the coping strategies of patent jungle.The research is divided into quantitative and qualitative parts.On the one hand,the recognition model of patent jungle maturity is constructed to realize quantitative recognition of patent jungle maturity in technical field.On the other hand,based on the evolution stage of the patent jungle in the technical field,the coping strategies of the patent jungle are summarized,analyzed and positioned.Firstly,the identification methods used in the existing research and the characteristics of patent jungle are summarized.Secondly,considering the four characteristics of the number,structure,activity and value of the patent jungle,11 observation layer indexes were selected.Based on Patsnap and other patent databases,the patent jungle maturity recognition model was constructed by using principal component analysis method and rank-sum ratio comprehensive evaluation method.Thirdly,the enterprise types are divided based on the patent technology competitiveness,and the patent jungle coping strategy model is constructed according to the evolution stage of the patent jungle in the industry.Finally,taking the field of lithium battery BMS technology as an example,the maturity of the patent jungle in this field is quantitatively identified.It is concluded that the patent jungle in this technical field has experienced the germination and growth stage,and is now in the mature stage.Enterprises can adopt the strategy of destroyer,encircling and distracting to deal with the patent jungle.The research explored and optimized the patent jungle identification method,quantified the patent jungle as a whole,identified the key nodes of the development of the patent jungle,and summarized the solution of the patent jungle,so as to provide information support for enterprises to cope with the patent jungle.
