Sturgeons are polyploid fish, there are four kinds of ploidy, tetraploid, octoploid, dodecaploid and sixteen-ploid.Tetraploid sturgeons have ~120 chromosomes, octoploid sturgeons have ~240 chromosomes, dedcaploid sturgeons have ~360 chromosomes,sixteen-ploid sturgeons have ~480 chromosomes. The situation of sturgeon chromosomes is complicated, not only sturgeons have a large number of chromosomes, but also their chromosomes are composed of macrochromosomes and microchromosomes. So it is hard to get sturgeons high quality genomes.Compared with the second-generation sequencing technology, the length of reads that the third-generation sequencing technology sequence is longer, and we can analyse the full-length transcriptome without assembly.Because of this advantage we choose Pac Bio sequencing platform to sequence full-length transcriptoms of three main cultured sturgeons in China, which are Huso dauricus,Acipenser schrenckii and Acipenser stellatus. We use high quality full-length transcriptomes to annotate the function of genes, analyse simple sequence repeat(SSR)and single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP),predict coding sequence(CDS)and transcription factors(TFs),we also constructed a fossil-calibrated phylogenetic tree, and we can know about the divergence time of three stugeons. This study provides a reference for future study of divergence time and gene annotation.
