The appropriate crude fiber level in the diet has a positive effect on the performance and health of pigs. The research of dietary fiber on pig feed intake, feed utilization and intestinal health has attracted widespread attention at home and abroad. The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the effects of dietary crude fiber level s on growth performance, digestion and metabolism, and intestinal development of Mashen pigs(MS)and Duroc ×Landrace × Large White pigs(DLY)The test selected 80 MS and DLY weighing(20±0.5)kg each,a total of 160.Each type of pigs was randomly divided into 4 treatment groups, and the design crude fiber levels were 2% CF(control group),5% CF,8% CF and 11% CF,with 5 replicates for each treatment and 4 pigs for each replicate.Soybean hulls were used as a source of crude fiber. The pre-test period was 7 days, and the feeding test period was 30 days.At the end of the experiment, three heads of MS and DLY with similar body weight were selected from each breed in each treatment weighed and slaughtered Each species adopts 4×4Latin square design to carry out 4 phases of metabolic test, each phase includes a pre-test period of 5 days and a formal sampling period of 5 days. The test measured the growth performance, nutrient digestibility, serum biochemical indicators, intestinal weight, structure and volatile fatty acids..Research indicates:1.Compared with the control group, the average daily gain(P <0.05)and average daily feed intake of MS in the 8% crude fiber group were significantly increased(P <0.05),and the feed-to-weight ratio had no significant effect;the crude fiber level was increased to 11%,the material-to-weight ratio increased significantly(P <0.05).Compared with the control group, the average daily gain of DLY in the 5% crude fiber group was significantly increased(P <0.05),and the feed-to-weight ratio had no significant effect;when the crude fiber level was increased to 8%,the feed-to-weight ratio was significantly increased(P <0.05).Increasing the fiber level to 11%,the MS material-to-weight ratio was significantly lower than DLY(P<0.05).2.Compared with the control group, the digestive energy and the apparent digestibility of metabolizable energy of MS in the 11% crude fiber group were extremely significantly reduced(P <0.01),and the 8% crude fiber group had no significant effect. The apparent digestibility of MS neutral detergent fiber(NDF)and acid detergent fiber(ADF)increased significantly in the 8% crude fiber group(P <0.01).Compared with the control group, the digestibility and apparent digestibility of DLY in the 8% crude fiber group were extremely significantly reduced(P <0.01),and the 5% crude fiber group had no significant effect. The apparent digestibility of 5% crude fiber DLY neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber increased significantly(P <0.01).Increasing the fiber level to 8% and 11%,the apparent digestibility of NDF and ADF of MS was significantly higher than that of DLY(P <0.01).3.With the increase in the level of crude fiber in the diet,MS blood glucose, lactate dehydrogenase, total cholesterol and triglycerides decreased linearly and twice(P <0.01).Compared with the control group,MS in the 8% crude fiber group Very significantly increased the concentration of alkaline phosphatase and cholinesterase(P <0.01).Compared with the control group,DLY in the 5% crude fiber group significantly increased the content of lactate dehydrogenase(P <0.01),and linearly decreased urea, cholinesterase, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein(P <0.01).4.Compared with the control group,MS in the 8% crude fiber group significantly increased the villus length,villus-crypt ratio(V/C)and villus area(P <0.01)of the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum.Increase the crude fiber level to 11%,and the pile surface is positively and significantly reduced(P <0.01).Compared with the control group,DLY in the 5% crude fiber group significantly increased the V/C and villus area of the duodenum and jejunum(P <0.01).Increasing the fiber level to 8%,the V/C and the pile surface were positively and significantly reduced(P <0.01).In the 8% and 11% fiber groups, the V/C and villus area of MS duodenum and jejunum were significantly higher than DLY(P <0.01).5.With the increase of the crude fiber level in the diet, the acetic acid, propionic acid, and butyric acid in the MS colon increased linearly and twice(P <0.01),and the concentration of the 11% crude fiber group was the highest.Compared with the control group, the concentrations of acetic acid, propionic acid and butyric acid in the colon of DLY in the 8% crude fiber group increased significantly(P <0.01).In the 4 treatment groups, the concentrations of acetic acid, propionic acid and butyric acid in the MS colon were significantly higher than DLY(P <0.01).At the level of 11% crude fiber, the growth performance of MS is better than that of DLY;the 8% and11% crude fiber groups have stronger digestion and metabolism capabilities;the overall development of MS intestines is higher than that of DLY.The growth performance of MS in the 11% crude fiber group was significantly increased, and the level of digestion and metabolism was significantly reduced. The 5% crude fiber group has little effect on the growth performance, nutrient digestibility and digestive function of Duchangda pigs.In summary,MS have stronger tolerance to crude feeding. The appropriate level of crude fiber in the growing period of the diet is 8%,and the appropriate level of fiber in the growing period of DLY is 5%.
