Callosobruchus chinensis(Coleoptera: Bruchidaeis)is a kind of grain storage pest, such as Vigna radiata,Vicia faba and Pisum sativum, etc. It has great concealment and strong ability of reinfect. It causes great economic losses by damaging beans in the field and in the warehouse after harvest lurking in the beans. In this study,SPME and GC-MS were used to extract and identify the volatile substances of two varieties of dried beans(Jin Lv No.1 and Fen Xiaodou No.3).The active compounds are tested by EAG and Y-type olfactory meter behavioral response,in addition, field trial is carried. The main findings are as follows:1.The results indicated that dried red beans and dried mung beans contain 33 and 39 volatile compounds respectively. They mainly contain aldehydes, ketones, alkenes, alkanes, alcohols, esters, acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and a small amount of naphthalene and oxime. There are 18 kinds of volatile substances, among which the higher content are methylheptenone,hexanal,n-nonanal and decanal,etc.2.Different degrees of EAG to C.chinensis are caused by 8 high-content volatiles shared by red beans and mung beans.Among them, methylheptenone, hexanal, nonanal and decanal can cause a strong reaction of C.chinensis.The reaction of decane,trans-caryophyllene,2-methylnaphthalene and cyclohexylbenzene is relatively weak.At a concentration of 500 μg/μL,methylheptenone caused the maximum absolute EAG response value of females, while the maximum concentration of males was 750μg/μL.The absolute maximum EAG response of females caused by decanal is at a concentration of 500μg/μL,while it was 750 μg/μL for males. The largest absolute EAG response value of females caused by n-nonanal was at a concentration of 250 μg/μL,while it was 750 μg/μL for males. At a concentration of 500μg/μL,hexanal causes the maximum absolute value of EAG response in females, while in males it is 750μg/μL.Males respond more strongly than females. At the concentration of nonanal was 100 μg/μL the females had the strongest response, while the males showed the strongest response at 750 μg/μL.Through the paired T test probability, the absolute value of the EAG response of the male and female adults under the strongest concentration condition was compared. There was no difference in the EAG response of the 8 volatiles between male and female.3.The behavioral response results of single-component show that four volatiles can cause C.chinensis strong antennae potential response hexanal has obvious negative tropism to C.chinensis in both male and famale adults. The higher concentration, the more obvious the avoidance effect.Methylheptenone,n-nonanal and decanal all showed positive tropism.Multi-component behavioral response experiments show that females select odor sources more frequently than males.Among the chemicals, methylheptenone and n-nonanal have the strongest attracting effect at a ratio of 1:2.6,while methylheptenone and decanal have the weaker attracting effect at a ratio of 1:3.2.4.Field experiments show that the single-component lures catch little pest, and there is no significant difference between the treatment and the control. The multi-component lures more pest than others in the field. The lures loaded with methylheptenone and n-nonanal in the ratio of 1:2.6 catch C.chinensis more than other lures. The total number of trapped insects significant difference between the trap and the control,367 and 482 respectively in male and famale adults.
