Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Marine Fishery Resources Management In Guishan Island Of Zhuhai City

Marine fishery has always been an important part of the development of China’s marine industry.In order to achieve the goal of maximizing economic benefits,the development and utilization of marine fishery resources in China was once in the state of pursuing quantity and ignoring ecological balance.Uncontrolled fishing once brought huge economic benefits to coastal areas,but however,with the continuous improvement of fishing and development intensity,the depletion of marine fishery resources has a negative effect on the overall development of local economy.This paper selects Guishan Island in Zhuhai City as a case study,and finds that Guishan Island is in the decline of inshore fishery resources and the decline of fishing quality.In recent years,Zhuhai municipal government has made some innovative attempts to improve the management of marine fishery resources in Guishan Island,and achieved certain results,but there is still a certain gap from the target.Therefore,the thesis uses the literature analysis,case study and field investigation to analyze the status quo of the management of marine fishery resources in Guishan Island.The results show that there are some problems in the management of marine fishery resources in Guishan Island,such as the lack of mass fishery protection mechanism,the imperfect fishing management system and the weak administrative law enforcement ability.Based on the result,the thesis analyzes the sustainable development theory,the holistic governance theory and the external theory,and finds that the key reasons for the problems are the innovation of management system,the construction of law enforcement capacity and the guidance of mass consciousness.Finally,the thesis draws on the excellent experience of marine fishery resources management at home and abroad,and puts forward some suggestions for strictly controlling resource fishing,perfecting working mechanism and guiding community organization construction.The author tries to provide practical reference for other regions to carry out the reform of marine fishery resources management.
