| As a large agricultural country with a vast territory,China needs to ensure food security for the stable development of its national economy.The food problem is not only closely related to the food and clothing of the country’s 1.4billion people,but also to the sustainable development of society.With the progress of the times and the rapid increase of population,the relationship between population and land resources has become more and more urgent,and how to use land reasonably and effectively is particularly important.The No.1 document in2021 issued a call for my country to accelerate the construction of agricultural modernization,resolutely adhere to the red line of 1.8 billion mu of arable land,promote the smooth implementation of a new round of high-standard farmland construction projects,improve the level and quality of farmland construction,and improve the management and protection mechanism,to raise construction funds through multiple channels.To carry out high-standard farmland construction projects,we should adhere to the basic principles of construction-based,management-based,and benefit-based.The effective use of benefits after the project is completed is closely related to the support of farmers.Located in Daoming Town,Chongzhou City,Sichuan Province,it has a large area of basic farmland and good basic conditions.It is a high-standard farmland reserve construction project area in Chongzhou City in 2022-2024.This study takes this as the starting point,takes the proposed project area in Daoming Town,Chongzhou City as the research area,and takes the farmers of 7 villages in Daoming Town as the survey objects by means of questionnaire survey,conducts interviews,obtains research data,and uses descriptive statistics.Analytical methods and logistic regression models were used to explore the factors that affect farmers’ support for high-standard farmland construction projects.The detailed conclusions are as follows:(1)At present,farmers have good support for high-standard farmland construction projects.In a survey of 405 rural residents,more than half of the farmers expressed support for the project,and they believed that their vital interests should be supported.Those who do not support doubt their voice and feel that their interests are not being adequately served.(2)The main factors affecting farmers’ support for the project are farmers’ educational level,occupation,family size,annual family income and farmers’ understanding of the project.Factors other than occupation were positively correlated with farmers’ support.Among them,the farmers’ understanding of the project and the farmers’ educational level had the strongest impact.The higher the farmer’s education,the higher the understanding of the project and the higher the support for the project.The second is occupation,annual family income and family size.When the occupation of a farmer is a village cadre or an enterprise employee,the farmer is more supportive of the project;the higher the farmer’s annual income,the more family members,and the higher the support.Although the overall development trend of high-standard farmland construction projects in Daoming Town,Chongzhou City is good,the study found that there are mainly the following problems in the development of high-standard farmland construction in Daoming Town: low land use efficiency,poor transportation connection,imperfect welfare system,and lagging infrastructure construction,population aging and outflow,government propaganda is not enough,and farmers’ cultural literacy needs to be improved urgently.In response to the above problems,this paper puts forward the following suggestions: rationally plan projects and increase project investment;ensure food production and prevent "non-agriculturalization";optimize infrastructure and improve transportation network;strengthen farmers’ awareness and increase enthusiasm for participation;improve population quality,Attract labor to return home;develop modern agriculture for sustainable development. |
