| Male sterile lines have important application value in Pepper heterosis breeding.In this study,CMS male sterile line L9A and its maintainer line L9B selected by the research group were used as test materials,L9A was used as female parent and 22 excellent inbred lines were used as male parent to prepare hybrid combinations.The differences of morphological characters between male sterile line and maintainer line and the Heterosis of 11 agronomic characters and 6 quality characters in F1 generation were studied and analyzed,in order to provide theoretical reference for pepper breeding practice.The main results of this study are as follows:(1)There were significant differences in anther length and style length between CMS male sterile line L9A and maintainer line L9B in pepper.(2)Among 22 parents,L59 could dwarf plants;L112 and L60 could increase the longitudinal diameter of fruit;L110,L133 and L138 could increase the fruit diameter;L59and L109 could increase the pulp thickness of fruit;L59 and L71 could increase the weight of single plant;L59,L117 and L137 could increase the number of fruit per plant;L59,L71,L73,L90 and L117 can increase the yield per plant;L73,L87 and L90 can increase the content of soluble protein,soluble sugar,dry matter and vitamin;L72,L90 and L109 can improve the spicy degree of fruit.(3)Among the 22 pepper hybrid combinations,the F1 generation of L9A had greater heterosis in fruit flesh thickness,plant height,plant width,fruit weight,soluble sugar content and soluble protein content.L59,L90,L117 and other three male parent inbred lines could restore the fertility of l9a,and their F1 generation had obvious positive heterosis in yield traits,but only had positive heterosis in one or two quality traits.L65,L100 and other two male parents did not restore the fertility of l9A,and the other 17 male parents partially restored the fertility of L9A.(4)The coefficient of variation of fruit number per plant,yield per plant,soluble protein and other traits of pepper is large,which has a strong genetic effect.The fruit number per plant and fruit quality of pepper have a great impact on yield traits,and their direct effects have a positive effect on yield.(5)The yield per plant was positively correlated with the fruit number per plant,but there was no significant correlation among the quality traits. |
