| Panax quinquefolium L.(scientific name: Panax quinquefolium L.)is a perennial herb of Panax ginseng in Acanthopanax family.It has good medical and health care effect,and the demand in the market is gradually increasing.According to the statistics at the beginning of the21 st century,at that time,China imported more than 300 t American ginseng every year,equivalent to more than 20 million US dollars.With the development of product development technology,the use of American ginseng has changed from a single rhizome to making full use of its leaves,fruits and other aboveground parts.These parts contain some ginsenosides and can be developed into high-grade tonics,drinks,cosmetics,etc.American ginseng has a long planting cycle,and the current level of planting mechanization is low,especially in the harvesting link.The existing harvesting machinery and equipment are not mature enough.In order to improve the mechanized harvest level of American ginseng and improve the harvest efficiency and quality of American ginseng,combined with the key technologies and main problems of American ginseng harvest,this paper designs and makes a row inserted digging shovel active rotary American ginseng harvester,that is,the main working part is the row shaped digging shovel with active rotation,which effectively solves the problem of large lifting volume of inclined flat blade digging parts of traditional harvester,At the same time,it can effectively improve the effect of root soil separation.Through structural design,theoretical analysis,prototype development,soil tank test and field test,the design,manufacture and experimental research of American ginseng harvester are completed,and the purpose of improving the performance of American ginseng harvester is achieved.The main research contents and conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)Test and analysis of soil properties and root block physical properties of American ginseng growth border bed.The soil property indexes such as bulk density,moisture content and firmness of American ginseng border bed at different depths,agronomic indexes such as border bed parameters,planting density and growth height,and physical property indexes such as root block moisture content,length,quality,density and diameter were tested,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the design of main working parts of American ginseng harvester.(2)Design of American ginseng harvester.Using Solid Works three-dimensional design software,the main working parts of the active rotary American ginseng harvester with row and insert digging shovel are designed.According to the structural characteristics of the main working parts,the size and shape of the frame are determined,and the required power of the American ginseng harvester is calculated and determined,and the three-dimensional solid design of the whole machine is completed.(3)Soil trough test and test of American ginseng harvester.Through the soil tank test,the working principle of various parts of the harvester is verified.Through the analysis of the test data,it is determined that the rotation direction of the rotary shovel of the harvester should be counterclockwise,and the average number of revolutions is 180 r / min.The optimal performance index of American ginseng harvester is obtained.(4)Field experiment of American ginseng harvester.The field experiment was carried out according to the experimental combination given by design expert software.According to the running results of the software,the optimal combination is: the walking speed is 3.48km/h,the depth of the excavation shovel into the soil layer is 24 cm,and the shaking lifting screen speed is0.88m/s,which meets the root block loss rate,root block damage rate and root block clean rate.The data were optimized according to the actual situation.The traveling speed was 3km / h,the depth of soil was 0.23 M,the linear speed of shaking lifting screen was 0.9m/s,and three repeated tests were carried out.The results showed that the average root block loss rate of American ginseng harvest was 2.96%,the average root block injury rate was 3.45%,and the average root block net recovery rate was 96.73%,which was close to the prediction results of the model.The final test data show that the row inserted digging shovel active rotary American ginseng harvester has a good test effect and meets the harvest standard of American ginseng industry.The design of this kind of American ginseng harvester in this paper is feasible in the actual harvest operation.According to the agronomic technical characteristics of American ginseng harvesting,this paper designs and makes an active rotary American ginseng harvester with row shaped digging shovel,and carries out orthogonal experimental research,which has carried out beneficial research and Exploration on further improving the performance of American ginseng harvesting machines and tools.The research conclusion enriches
