Effects Of Disodium Fumarate On Production Performance,Blood Biochemical Indexes And Rumen Microflora In Lactating Dairy Cows

Objective: This study intends to through to the supplementary feeding cow fumaric acid disodium,systematic study of different concentration is added in the diet of fumaric acid disodium on lactation cow milk performance,rumen fermentation function,blood biochemical indices and the influence of rumen microflora,as fumaric acid disodium on lactation cows in actual production application to provide reliable data support and the corresponding scientific basis.Methods: Thirty Holstein dairy cows with similar lactation days(158.95±15.70d),parity(2-3 parities)and milk yield(34.69±1.68kg/d)were randomly divided into 3 groups with 10 cows in each group using a single-factor randomized block design.Groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ were supplemented with 50g/d and 100g/d disodium fumarate for each head,respectively,based on the basal diet.The experiment lasted for 43 d,including a pre-trial period of 10 d and a formal trial period of 33 d.The average feed intake,milk yield and milk quality,blood biochemical indices and rumen parameters of dairy cows were determined.Results: The milk yield in groupⅠwas higher than that in groupsⅡand Ⅲ,and the milk yield in group Ⅲwas decreased by 9.76% compared with that in group Ⅰ,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).The average feed intake of groupⅠwas also higher than that of groupⅡand Ⅲ,and the average feed intake of group Ⅲ was decreased by 6.23% compared with that of groupⅠ,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Compared with groupⅠ,the milk fat percentage in group Ⅲ was increased by 20.04%(P<0.05);Compared with groupⅠ,milk protein in groupⅡwas increased by 8.04%(P<0.05),and that in group Ⅲwas increased by 10.17%(P<0.01);Compared with groupⅠ,total solids in group Ⅲ were increased by8.14%(P<0.05);Urea nitrogen in groupⅡwas increased by 11.70% compared with group Ⅰ,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in serum total protein,globulin,urea,creatinine,triglyceride,total bilirubin,low density lipoprotein,high density lipoprotein and alanine aminotransferase among all groups(P>0.05).Albumin concentration in groupsⅡand Ⅲ was increased by2.22% and 7.18% compared with group Ⅰ,respectively,and albumin concentration in groupⅠand groupⅢ was significantly different(P<0.05).There was significant difference between groupⅠand group Ⅱ(P<0.05),and extremely significant difference between group Ⅲ(P<0.01).Total bile acid in group Ⅰ,group Ⅱ and group Ⅲ was significantly different(P<0.05);There were significant differences in lactate dehydrogenase and alkaline phosphatase between groupⅠand groupⅡ(P<0.05),and the p H values of the three groups were within the normal range,rumen p H and ammonia nitrogen showed an increasing trend,but there were no significant differences between groups Ⅱand Ⅲ compared with group Ⅰ(P>0.05).Lactic acid was decreased,but there was no significant difference in groupsⅡ,Ⅲ andⅠ(P>0.05).The microbial protein in group Ⅲ was increased by 6.03% compared with that in group Ⅱ,but the value in groups Ⅱand Ⅲ was lower than that in group I,and there was no significant difference with that in groupⅠ(P>0.05).Compared with groupⅠ,the concentrations of volatile fatty acids in groups Ⅱand Ⅲ were lower than those in groupⅠ,but there was no significant difference among all indexes(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in total bacteria number,total fungi number,filamentous succinate and methanogens between experimental groups and control group(P>0.05).The number of total bacteria decreased gradually with the increase of disodium fumarate content,while the situation of Filamentous succinate-producing bacteria was contrary to that of total bacteria.Methanogens in experimental group Ⅱwere 22.01% and 21.83% lower than those in control groupⅠand experimental group Ⅲ,respectively.The total fungi in experimental group Ⅱincreased by 7.45% and 8.84% compared with that in control groupⅠand experimental group Ⅲ,respectively.Conclusion: Although the addition of 50g/d and 100g/d disodium fumarate could not improve the average feed intake and milk yield of lactating dairy cows,it could improve the milk quality and milk protein content and milk fat percentage of lactating dairy cows.Among them,the addition of 100g/d disodium fumarate had a better effect on the performance of lactating dairy cows.It can improve milk quality to a certain extent.Adding 100g/d disodium fumarate can increase the total protein content of lactating cows to a certain extent,and has no adverse effects on the body of lactating cows.Adding 100g/d disodium fumarate could better prevent and control rumen acidosis and maintain the stability of rumen p H.Adding50g/d disodium fumarate reduced the number of methanogens and was beneficial to rumen fermentation.The addition of disodium fumarate decreased microbial diversity.
