Plastic film mulching technology plays an irreplaceable role in cotton planting.However,when the farmland mulch film has been in a state of "large investment and low recovery" for a long time,it has caused a series of problems such as soil hardening,poor plant development,and "white pollution," and cotton yield has also appeared "inflection point" and gradually decreased.In order to recover the residual film,more than 100 kinds of film collection mechanisms have been researched and designed in China.However,the recycled residual film has scattered accumulation.Easy floating,severe secondary pollution,high transportation cost,and the existing residual film compression and packaging mechanism have high energy consumption,due to the problems of low forming rate and easy loosening,this paper focuses on promoting the reuse of residual film resources,increasing the bale density of residual film,and prolonging the baling cycle.A film picking baler was designed,which can finish film picking,cleaning,conveying and packing in one time after straw crushing and returning to field and film collecting.The main research work and conclusions are as follows:(1)Determination of the basic dimension of residual film.The farmland environment after the cotton straw was crushed and returned to the field and the residual film was collected,mainly including the width and thickness of the collected film and the residual film,as well as soil impurities in the collection area with a length of 1 m,the central stalk and branches of the cotton straw.The average content provides data support for the working width,working depth,and membrane-soil separation and conveying mechanism design.(2)Design of the whole machine and key components.According to the previous measurement results of the farmland environment before the operation,the overall design scheme of the organization was determined.In order to improve the pick-up efficiency of the residual film,reduce the impurity content in the recovered film package,and alleviate the phenomenon of roller wrapping due to the congestion of the residual film,starting from the working condition of the core components and the force movement state of the residual film,the film-picking process of the pick-up mechanism was analyzed.The movement process of the residual film on the vibrating conveying mechanism,and the moving force of the residual film in the packing chamber were analyzed,and the relevant structural selection and design parameters were obtained.The key factors that promote the rapid formation of the membrane core were obtained.(3)Prototype was trial-produced and field test was carried out.The machine’s average forward speed,the speed of the pick-up drum,and the speed of the steel roller were selected as the test factors,and the residual film pick-up rate and the bale rate were selected as the test indicators.The orthogonal test and variance analysis were carried out.The results show that when the average forward speed of the machine was 4km/h,the speed of the pick-up drum was 60r/min,and the speed of the steel roller was 300r/min,the residual film pick-up rate was 90.3%,and the baling rate can reach 98.4%.
