Study On Cultivated Land Fragmentation And Its Influential Factors In Bohai Rim Region

Cultivated land is the basic resource for human survival and development,and it is of great significance for ensuring national food security and maintaining sustainable social and economic development.With the accelerating process of China’s new urbanization and agricultural modernization,the cultivated land fragmentation has become a typical feature of China’s agricultural development,which has reduced the efficiency of agricultural production and land use efficiency,and limited the agricultural economy development.Bohai Rim region is a concentrated distribution area of cultivated land resources and an important "granary" in China,with vast land area,dense population distribution and superior agricultural foundation,which is representative of the study area.By exploring and analyzing the spatio-temporal distribution pattern and influencing factors of cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region,it can provide some reference and inspiration for alleviating the phenomenon of cultivated land fragmentation in densely populated and complex terrain areas.Based on these,the paper mainly carries out the following work:Firstly,establishing the index evaluation system of cultivated land fragmentation.Based on a deep understanding of the connotation of cultivated land fragmentation and landscape pattern index,this paper built up an evaluation index system of cultivated land fragmentation from nine indicators in three dimensions of resource endowment,spatial distribution and utilization convenience,and formed the cultivated land fragmentation index through entropy method and linear weighting,which laid the foundation for the further evaluation of cultivated land fragmentation.Secondly,portraying the spatio-temporal evolution pattern of cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region.First of all,the spatio-temporal distribution characteristics of cultivated land in Bohai Rim region were described by using the nuclear density analysis and land use dynamic analysis.Next,the cultivated land fragmentation index and its changes in cities of Bohai Rim region were measured and visually expressed,which fully reflected the spatio-temporal evolution pattern of cultivated land fragmentation of Bohai Rim region.Last but not least,the spatial autocorrelation analysis was used to reveal the spatial correlation and spatial agglomeration of cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region,which provided the basis for the following analysis of influencing factors.Finally,analyzing the influencing factors of cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region.On the basis of verifying the spatial correlation and agglomeration characteristics of cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region,this paper took the cultivated land fragmentation index as the explained variable,and selects eight indicators in three dimensions of natural environment conditions,socioeconomic development level and agricultural production status as the explanatory variables,and constructed the Spatial Durbin Model and geographical weighted regression model respectively,so as to comprehensively analyze the influencing factors and spatial heterogeneity of cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region from the global and local perspectives,and to provide a method for alleviating the phenomenon of regional cultivated land fragmentation.The results show that the cultivated land in the Bohai Rim region as a whole presents the spatial distribution characteristics of "more in the middle and south,less in the north".The cultivated land resources are mainly concentrated in the vast plain areas with flat terrain,and the cultivated land resources in most cities are decreasing.The degree of cultivated land fragmentation has the spatial characteristics of "the north is more serious than the south",and the cultivated land fragmentation index in most cities is on the rise,with obvious spatial correlation and agglomeration characteristics.What’s more,natural environmental conditions,socio-economic development level and agricultural production have significant impacts on the cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region,and the spatial heterogeneity is prominent too.Topography,land use degree,industrial structure and traffic level also have obvious spillover effects on the cultivated land fragmentation in neighboring regions,and the order of the roles of various influencing factors in different models is not the same.The above conclusions have certain theoretical and practical value for alleviating the regional cultivated land fragmentation in Bohai Rim region,optimizing the spatial distribution of cultivated land resources,improving agricultural production efficiency and promoting the high-quality development of regional economy according to local conditions.
