The seed coat of eggplant seeds is relatively thick and hard,resulting in poor water permeability and air permeability of eggplant seeds,which can easily cause low germination rate,slow emergence and low neatness of eggplant seeds and other problems,causing certain impact on daily production.In response to these problems,different seed pretreatment techniques are often used in production to clean and grade eggplant seeds,trigger,etc.,to improve seed quality,release seed dormancy,and thus promote seed germination and growth.The more commonly used method to improve the vigor of eggplant seeds is the seed pretreatment technique.Eggplant seeds treated with different pretreatment techniques were able to show an increase in germination potential,germination rate,germination index,seed vigor and other indicators to a certain extent,which can also contribute to the improvement of fruit yield and quality of eggplant.The seed pretreatment technology mainly includes cleaning and grading,initiating treatment and seed coating.Among them,seed cleaning and grading can remove impurities from seeds,screen out full seeds and improve seed quality;Seed initiation is able to improve seed viability and germination indices by immersion treatment of seeds;Seed coating can provide protection to the seeds and improve their resistance to diseases.In this experiment,the seeds of"Green Pants Little Black Dragon"eggplant were used as test materials.Salt solution and wind separation were used to separate and classify eggplant seeds;Eight kinds of plant immune attractant(atellin,Wei da li and ZNC),amino acid(aspartic acid,valine and proline)and plant hormone(methyl jasmonate and KT-kinetin)were used for seed initiation treatment to select the best initiator and initiation conditions;Further,the selected substances with good triggering effect were added into the disease-resistant basic seed coating agent to explore the improvement of the function of the seed coating agent,and then obtain the prototype of the multi-functional seed coating agent.The specific results are as follows:1.The conditions of clearing and grading of eggplant seeds were screened.In salt solution classification,eggplant seeds are graded with Na Cl solution and KH2PO4solution.Through analysis and comparison of various germination indexes,the optimal treatment concentration and conditions for eggplant seed separation and classification are obtained:The optimal concentration of Na Cl solution was 10%and the fractional soaking time was 10min;The optimal concentration of KH2PO4solution was 15%,and the fractional soaking time was 10min;In the classification of wind separation,the best wind speed is 8m/s.2.In the initiation treatment,after statistical analysis of germination indexes,it was found that six treatments including Wei da li,ZNC,aspartic acid,proline,valine,KT-kinetin could promote the germination and growth of eggplant seeds to some extent,But atellin and methyl jasmonate inhibited seed germination.The best treatment conditions for different substances are:Wei da li(Diluted 1000 times liquid,Soaked for 12h);ZNC(10ng/ml,Soaked for 12h);Aspartic acid(5g/L,Soaked for 12h);Proline(15g/L,Soaked for 12h);KT-kinetin(5mg/L,Soaked for 12h).3.Through the determination and analysis of physiological and biochemical indexes of eggplant seeds treated under different conditions,it was found that different substance treatments would have different degrees of influence on various physiological indexes.Among them,Wei da li,valine,KT-kinetin,ZNC,compound one and compound two could increase the soluble sugar content of seeds;KT-kinetin and compound one could increase the soluble protein content of seeds;Valine and compound II could improve the activities of antioxidant enzymes CAT,SOD and POD in seeds;Proline,aspartic acid,valine,ZNC,compound one and compound two could reduce the content of MDA in seeds.4.Both functional and material category complementarity were used to explore the triggering material complex.The functional complementary formula uses 10ng/ml ZNC(The best effect was to promote germination rate),5mg/L of KT-kinetin(Germination potential and seedling length had the best effect)for the mix;The complementary formula was composed of 5g/L aspartic acid,Wei da li in 1000 times diluted liquid,and 5mg/L KT-kinetin.The germination test data were counted after conventional treatment,the results showed that both of the two compound methods could effectively promote the germination of eggplant seeds,but the overall effect was slightly worse than that of partial substances treated separately in the formula.5.The effects of Wei da li,ZNC and KT-kinetin on the growth of plants and seedlings were tested,The results show that:These three treatments can promote the growth of eggplant seedlings to some extent,Among them,Wei da li had the best effect on promoting stem size of eggplant seedlings,ZNC had the best effect on plant height,leaf number,dry weight of above ground part,fresh weight of above ground part,dry weight of underground part and fresh weight of underground part of eggplant seeds.6.Six treatments with promoting effects on seed germination and two basic seed coating agents were prepared into 12 different formulations.The eggplant seeds were coated,and the germination and antibacterial effect of seeds were observed.The experimental results show that:No.1 seed coating agent is more suitable for eggplant seed coating,and the combination of Wei da li and No.1 seed coating agent had the best effect on promoting germination rate,the combination of KT-kinetin and No.1 seed coating agent has the best promoting effect on seed vigor index and seedling length,and the compound did not affect the bacteriostatic effect of seed coating agent.
