Multifunctional Evaluation And Zoning Of Cultivated Land On The Perspective Of Demand And Supply

Cultivated land is the material basis for human survival and development and is multifunctional.It plays a momentous role in safeguarding food security,maintaining ecosystem security and supporting social stability.With the rapid development of industrialization and urbanization,the quantity and quality of cultivated land are threatened,and the supply capacity of cultivated land is decreasing.While the improvement of living standard enhances the resident’s demand for the ecological function and landscape function of cultivated land.The mismatch between supply and demand of cultivated land multifunction will restrict the sustainable development of agriculture and rural areas.Conducting research on multifunctional supply and demand of cultivated land can reflect the gap between the output of cultivated land and the demand of social development,and provide reference for reasonably positioning the function of cultivated land,regulating the balance of supply and demand,and promoting innovative development of cultivated land protection.This study takes the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as the research area.This paper divides the cultivated land multi-functional system into four functions: production function,ecological function,social function and landscape function,it puts forward a theoretical framework of multi-function supply and demand of cultivated land.Measuring the level of supply and demand for each function of cultivated land from 2005 to 2020 and analyzing spatio-temporal patterns.In addition,this study uses Spearman Rank Correlation and matching types to analyze the trade-offs and synergies and supply-demand space matching status of cultivated land multifunction.Finally,the multi-functional utilization of cultivated land in the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is zoned,and the corresponding optimization suggestions are put forward.The results show that:(1)In terms of temporal changes,the multi-functional supply of cultivated land showed a decreasing trend during the study period.Except for a slight increase in the supply of production functions,the supply of ecological function,social function and landscape function had decreased.The multi-functional demand for cultivated land showed a rising trend.The demand of ecological function and landscape function had increased significantly,and the demand of production function and social function had decreased significantly.In terms of spatial distribution,the multifunctional supply and demand of cultivated land generally presented the spatial pattern of low in east and high in west.The high value area was mainly distributed in the Jianghan Plain and Dongting Lake Plain,and the low value area was mainly distributed in the mountainous areas,such as Wushan,Luoxiao Mountains and Wuyishan.The supply and demand of production function,the demand of ecological function,the supply of social function,and the demand of landscape function were presented the spatial pattern of high in west and low in east,while the supply of ecological function,the demand of social function and the supply of landscape function were presented the spatial pattern of high in east and low in west.(2)Most of the multi-functional supply of cultivated land were in a trade-off relationship with each other,comparable amount of multi-functional demand of cultivated land,between supply and demand exhibiting trade-offs and synergistic relationships.The match of multi-functional cultivated land was good and oversupply generally.The match of production function was also good and oversupply generally.The mismatch of ecological function and landscape function were more obvious and the imbalance had intensified,and the supply is greater than the demand.The match between supply and demand of social functions was poor,and the supply was smaller than the demand.(3)Combining the multi-functional supply and demand levels of cultivated land in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration,four types of cultivated land functional areas ware classified and suggestions for optimization were made.The urban agricultural recreation area was scattered in the municipal district and the area near the central city,and the special industries such as melon and fruit,vegetables and ecological picking industry should be vigorously developed in the future;the agricultural production leading area was mainly distributed in Jianghan Plain and Dongting Lake Plain,while giving full play to the production function of cultivated land,the use of agricultural chemicals should be strictly controlled to ensure the ecological function of cultivated land;the agricultural balanced development area was mainly distributed in the ring of urban agglomeration around Chang-Zhu-Tan and the central part of urban agglomeration around Poyang Lake,which should promote multifunctional development of cultivated land according to local conditions;the ecological agricultural reserve area was mainly located in mountainous area and urban agglomeration around Poyang Lake,which should give full play to green advantages and develop green organic agricultural products and ecological agricultural products.
