Area in the middle reach of Yangtze river, where location has distinct advantages, resources is rich, industrial and agricultural foundation is strong, and it is the Chinese rice grain producing areas. The study area that is the major rice producing areas in the middle reach of Yangtze river is defined by the ministry of agriculture agricultural technology,including the three provinces of jiangxi, hubei, hunan where cultivated land as evaluation objects. The standardized regional cultivated land resource database is established On the basis of county farmland productivity evaluation data, and increasing special supplementary investigation.Through the analysis of evaluation of regional farmland productivity level and the main crop production capacity, experts discussion and scoring, we set up the regional cultivated land classification standard of the evaluation index system and evaluation indicators.Study using GIS technology, the three provinces in the middle reach of Yangtze river in the present situation of land use map and soil map overlay production evaluation unit, the indicators of the evaluation index system for interpolation and regional statistics, use of the space link to establish the farmland productivity evaluation of spatial database in the middle reach of Yangtze river.On this basis, the farmland productivity of rice in the middle reach of Yangtze river was evaluated and the output of the evaluation results validation.The study also analyzed the spatial distribution of the evaluation result.The main results were as follows:(1) Reviewing three provinces more than 40000 sampling point data, which review--ing of summary data including the number of sampling points and spatial distribution, ultimately determine the sampling points of hubei, hunan, jiangxi province, 41943.(2) To establish the farmland productivity evaluation index system, including a total of 12 evaluation indexes.(3) The soil map and use status of three provinces figure for Mosaic, checking and rebuilding topology, soil map and utilization figure overlay produced evaluation unit. The evaluation unit is classified according to area, and the size of the map and soil properties, then formulate the minimum unit is 1 million square meters, which will be smaller than the area of a polygon into fusion in Arc Map, ultimately determine the number of evaluation units in the three provinces of the Yangtze river in 84599.Determine the results of figure of the map scale of 1:1000000(4) Using the methods of fuzzy mathematics, the membership function model is set up, in the provincial level cultivated land resource management information system using the cumulative model to calculate the three provinces in the middle reach of Yangtze river farmland productivity index is between 0.64 and 0.96, and the land is divided into six grades.Three provinces in the middle reach of Yangtze river of arable land, with a total area of 10383330.84 hm2, including 981942.8451 hm2 first, 9.46% of the total area of arable land, 4142537.012 hm2 secondary, accounting for 39.90% of the arable land, level 3 to 3701931.474 hm2, 35.65% of the total area of arable land, level 4 to 1294136.609 hm2, 12.46% of the total area of arable land, magnitude 252516.3688 hm2, 2.43% of the total area of arable land, six levels of 10266.53164 hm2, 0.10% of the total area of arable land.(5) Rice yields have been carried out to verify the results of evaluation.Organic matter condition of rice in the middle reach of Yangtze river are analyzed, It is concluded that the hubei, hunan, jiangxi province the content of organic matter;For each level has carried on the analysis of the main properties and spatial distribution of soil analysis.The construction and improvement suggestions of the three provinces in the middle reach of Yangtze river about the cultivated land quality are put forward.
