| The blueberry is a small berry species of high economic value that has developed rapidly in China in recent years and has played a key role in the fight against poverty and common prosperity in China. It is important for breeders to select parents scientifically, shorten the breeding period and speed up the renewal of varieties. In this experiment, the genetic patterns of glucose, fructose, sucrose, total sugars, citric acid, quinic acid, malic acid and total acids were determined by applying high performance liquid chromatography and ion chromatography to the fruit of six cross combinations and 767 hybrid progenies for two consecutive years. The main results are as follows:1.The main sugar components in blueberry are glucose and fructose. The average coefficient of variation for the progeny of total sugars was 14.53%,with a small variation, and the average broad heritability and genetic transmission were 0.79 and 0.95,respectively.The traits were stably inherited to the progeny, not easily affected by the environment, and were recessional, with maternal effects.Fructose and glucose are genetically similar, with small differences in mean coefficient of variation, genetic transmission and broad heritability of the progeny, less susceptible to environmental influences and the presence of maternal effects, with the maternal of the two parents having a large influence on the progeny. The inheritance of a smaller proportion of sucrose shows a susceptibility to environmental influences, with the offspring genetically tending towards the high sucrose parent.2.The main acid components in blueberry are citric acid and quinic acid. The average coefficient of variation of the progeny of total acid was 36.88%,with high progeny variation and average broad-sense heritability and genetic transmission of 0.63 and 1.23,respectively.Total acid was transgressive inheritance and susceptible to environmental influences, with possible maternal effects.Different Inheritance for different organic acid components. The inheritance of citric acid is transgressive inheritance, with the offspring tending to favour the parent with the higher citric acid in both parents;there is a maternal effect in the inheritance of quinic acid;there is not maternal effect in the inheritance of malic acid but the maternal parent in both parents has a greater influence on the offspring.3.The genetic model for glucose, fructose and total sugars is 2MG-AD and is controlled by two pairs of additive-dominant master genes. The main genes for glucose, fructose and total sugars are dominated by additive effects and the additive effects are positive. Both citric and total acids are modelled as 2MG-AD and are controlled by two pairs of additive-dominant master genes. The main genes controlling citric acid and total acid are dominated by additive and positive effects, while dominant effects are negative. |
