Jilin City is located in the northeast region of China, known as the "Northern Jiangcheng",with abundant tourism resources and a good ecological environment. The central city is surrounded by mountains on all sides and water on three sides. The Songhua River passes through the city in an inverted "S" shape, which has the unique charm of a landscape garden city. The water system is developed, especially the Songhua Lake basin has a wide area, huge water resources and rich freshwater fish species.Freshwater fish can carry various foodborne parasites, posing a great threat to the health of the local people. However,no systematic investigation has been found on the foodborne parasites of the main freshwater fish in the Songhua River basin in Jilin City, and the identification and detection methods are not perfect. In order to understand the species and infection of food borne parasites of main freshwater fishes in Songhua River basin of Jilin City,2259 samples of 19 main freshwater fishes were collected in this city.Morphological identification was carried out by naked eye observation, direct compression and artificial digestion methods, and the infection rate and intensity were calculated; To analyze the infection of parasites of main freshwater fishes in Songhua River basin of Jilin City;Molecular biological identification of some freshwater fish and parasites using PCR and other methods. The experimental results showed that a total of 7 foodborne parasites were mainly found, namely Echinostoma,Clonorchis sinensis,Metrorchis taiwanensis,Metrorchis orientalis,Dactylogyrus,Arguluel lipticaudatus, and Capillaria. The total infection rate of freshwater fish reached 15.36%(347/2259).The fish species with the highest infection rate is Perccottus glenii, which is 44.23%(92/208).The species with the highest infection rate is Clonorchis sinensis, which is 6.55%(48/2259).Among the four sections(Songhua Lake Zhuque Mountain National Forest Park,Zhuque Mountain National Forest Park Linjiangmen Bridge,Linjiangmen Bridge Halong Bridge,Halong Bridge Sentinel Ferry),the infection rate from Halong Bridge to Sentinel Ferry is the highest at 21.83%(86/394),The highest infection rate in the summer of the four seasons is 31.28%(193/617).Molecular biology methods were used to identify and compare gene sequences of some freshwater fish and foodborne parasites, achieving species identification. This study will obtain the first-hand information on the parasitic infection of main freshwater fish in Songhua River basin of Jilin City, provide reference for wider research, effectively respond to public health emergencies caused by fish borne parasites, and lay a foundation for in-depth research on fish borne parasitic diseases in this region.
