Caragana korshinskii Kom.is a pioneer plant in wind and sand control and is widely planted in degraded grassland and ecological restoration. At the same time,it is also a high quality woody fodder. However, the nutrient content of Caragana korshinskii Kom.varies considerably between fertility stages and is poorly digested by direct feeding to livestock Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the nutritional quality of Caragana korshinskii Kom.at different reproductive stages, the effect of additives on the fermentation quality of Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage and the effect of Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage on the production performance of beef cattle, with the aim is to provide a theoretical basis and technical support for the utilization of Caragana korshinskii Kom.resources in Xing’an Meng and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The primary findings of the study are as follows:(1)Combining the analysis of CP content,ADF content and NDF content, the period of June 18(flowering stage)should be selected as the flat crop period for local harvesting of Caragana korshinskii Kom.in two flat crop years. The CP content of Caragana korshinskii Kom.with 5 years of flat crop was significantly higher(P<0.05)and the ADF content and NDF content were significantly lower(P<0.05)than those of the other two treatment groups when the crop was flat crop on 18 June(flowering stage);the CP content of Caragana korshinskii Kom.with no flat crop was significantly higher(P<0.05)than those of the other two treatment groups.(P<0.05),ADF content was significantly lower than the other two treatment groups(P<0.05)and NDF content was not significantly different(P>0.05).(2)Combining the nutritional quality and fermentation quality of Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage, the optimum amount of corn flour added to Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage was 2%.There was no significant difference(P>0.05)in CP content among the treatment groups with the addition of corn flour;the highest CP content was 11.74%in the YM3 group;the WSC content in the YM3 group was significantly higher(P<0.05)than that in the CK,YM1 and YM2 groups,at 1.81%;the NH3-N content in each treatment group with the addition of corn flour was significantly lower(P<0.05)than that in the CK group. The NH3-N content of the YM3 group was the lowest at 0.76%;the LA content of the YM3 group was significantly higher than that of the CK,YM1 and YM2 groups(P<0.05).(3)Combining the nutritional quality and fermentation quality of Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage, the optimum amount of cellulase addition for Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage was 0.2%.The DM content of the CE3 group was significantly higher than that of the CK and CE1 groups after the addition of cellulase silage(P<0.05),the CP content of the CE3 group was significantly higher than that of the CK,CE1 and CE2 groups(P<0.05),the ADF,NDF and ADL contents of the CE3 group were significantly lower than those of the CK,CE1 and CE2 groups, the NH3-N content of the CE3 group was significantly lower than the CK group(P<0.05),the LA content in the CE3group was significantly higher than that in the CK and CE2 groups(P<0.05),the p H value of the added cellulase treatment was significantly lower than that in the CK group, and the p H value in the CE3 group was the lowest.(4)Combining the nutritional quality and fermentation quality of Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage, the optimum amount of lactic acid bacteria added to Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage was 1×105cfu g-1.The DM content of each treatment group with the addition of lactic acid bacteria was significantly higher than that of the CK group(P<0.05),the CP content of the LAB1 group was significantly higher than that of the CK and LAB2 groups(P<0.05),the NDF content,ADF content and ADL content of the CK group were significantly higher than that of each treatment group with the addition of lactic acid bacteria(P<0.05),the NDF content,ADF content and ADL of the LAB1 group content was the lowest,WSC content in LAB1 group was significantly higher than that in CK group and LAB2 group(P<0.05),NH3-N content in CK group was significantly higher than that in each treatment group with lactic acid bacteria added(P<0.05),and the lowest NH3-N content in LAB1 group was 0.58%,LA content in treatment with lactic acid bacteria added was significantly higher than that in CK group(P<0.05),p H value in CK group was significantly higher than that in each treatment group with lactic acid bacteria added(P<0.05),p H value in CK group was significantly higher than that in The p H of the CK group was significantly higher than that of the CK group(P<0.05),and the p H of the LAB1 group was the lowest at 4.17.(5)For the comprehensive analysis of beef cattle production performance, serum biochemical indexes and economic benefits, the best results were obtained by adding 30%Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage instead of corn straw in the diet. After the 84-d test period, the results showed that the addition of 30%Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage instead of corn straw significantly increased the daily weight gain and average daily dry matter intake of beef cattle(P<0.05),and the daily weight gain was up to 1.11 kg;the study of serum biochemical indicators of beef cattle found that all indicators were within the normal range. The addition of Caragana korshinskii Kom.silage had no significant effect(P>0.05)on TG,BUN,TP,ALB content and ALT activity of the test cattle in each treatment group, but had a significant effect(P<0.05)on serum GLU,TC content and AST activity of the test cattle. The NT-30 group had the highest income, with an increase of663.16 RMB compared to the control group throughout the trial period.
