After the peak of laying,the reproductive system and liver function of laying hens began to decline,the body lipid metabolism was disordered,and the absorption of calcium and phosphorus was blocked,which led to the rapid decline of laying performance and egg quality.Eliminated laying hens have the advantages of high protein,low fat,low cholesterol and rich in mineral elements.However,due to the high content of insoluble collagen in muscle,it is difficult to cook and process.Therefore,how to effectively improve the laying rate,egg quality and meat quality of laying hens in the later stage of laying has attracted more and more attention.Traditional Chinese medicine has the advantages of green,no residue,wide source and low price.Some traditional Chinese medicines can regulate the lipid metabolism of laying hens,increase the secretion of reproductive hormones,improve the immune performance and antioxidant capacity of the body,and then improve the laying rate,product quality and prolong the service life of laying hens.The purpose of this paper is to study the effect of traditional Chinese medicine ultrafine powder on laying performance and product quality of laying hens in the later stage of laying,and to explore its mechanism by measuring plasma biochemical parameters,oxidation antioxidant indexes,reproductive hormone and immune factor content,so as to provide technical support for using traditional Chinese medicine to improve the productivity of laying hens.576 43 week old Xinyang black laying hens were randomly divided into 8 groups with 8 replicates in each group and 9 in each replicate.The control group was fed with basic diet,and the experimental group was added with 0.5%motherwort,0.25%privet seed,0.25%dandelion,0.5%motherwort+0.25%privet seed,0.5%motherwort+0.25%dandelion,0.25%privet Seed+0.25%dandelion,0.5%motherwort+0.25%privet Seed+0.25%dandelion.The pre-test period is 7 days and the test period is 120 days.During the experimental period,the daily feed intake,egg number and egg weight of each group were counted to calculate the egg laying performance;Collect egg samples every 30 days to determine the egg quality;On the 60th and 120th days of the experiment,one laying hens were randomly selected for slaughter and sampling for each repetition,and the meat quality,plasma biochemical parameters,oxidation antioxidant indexes,reproductive hormones and immune factors were measured.The results show that:1)Changes of egg laying performance:the experimental treatment had no significant effect on the egg laying rate(P>0.05),but had a significant effect on the average daily feed intake and feed egg ratio from 1 to 30 days(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,the average feed intake and feed egg ratio of Yi+Nu+Pu Group,dandelion group and Yi+Nu group were significantly lower(P<0.05).It shows that the ultra-fine powder of traditional Chinese medicine can improve the feed conversion rate of laying hens to a certain extent.2)Changes of egg quality:the experimental treatment had significant effects on protein height,ha unit,egg yolk color,eggshell strength and eggshell thickness(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,on the 30th day of the experiment,the proportion of egg yolk,the height of protein in motherwort group and Yi+Pu group were significantly increased(P<0.05);On the 60th day of the experiment,the protein height,ha unit and eggshell strength of motherwort group,Yi+Pu Group and Nu+Pu group were significantly increased(P<0.05);On the 90th day of the experiment,the protein height of the Yi+Pu Group and the Nu+Pu Group,the HA type units of the motherwort group,the Yi+Nu group,the Yi+Pu Group and the Nu+Pu Group,the yolk color of the motherwort group and the Nu+Pu Group,the eggshell strength and the eggshell thickness of the motherwort group,the Yi+Pu Group and the Nu+Pu group were significantly increased(P<0.05);On the 120th day of the experiment,the eggshell strength of Ligustrum lucidum group,dandelion group,benefit+female group,female+Pu Group and benefit+Female+Pu group increased significantly(P<0.05).It shows that traditional Chinese medicine ultra-fine powder can improve the egg quality of laying hens to a certain extent.Motherwort group,Yi+Pu Group and Nu+Pu Group have better effects in improving egg protein height,HA type unit and eggshell strength.3)Changes of egg yolk cholesterol:compared with the control group,the content of egg yolk cholesterol in dandelion group,Yi+female group and Yi+Pu group decreased significantly on the 60th day of the experiment(P<0.05).It shows that the ultra-fine powder of traditional Chinese medicine can regulate the metabolism of cholesterol in the early stage of the experiment,among which the dandelion group and Yi+Nu group have better effects.4)Change of meat quality:the experimental treatment had no significant effect on shear force,pH24h,moisture content and crude protein(P>0.05),but had significant effect on yellowness and drip loss(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,on the 120th day of the experiment,the muscle yellowness value b*of motherwort group,Yi+Pu Group and Nu+Pu Group,and the muscle drip loss of Ligustrum lucidum group and Yi+Nu group were significantly reduced(P<0.05).It shows that the ultra-fine powder of traditional Chinese medicine can improve the water system ability of muscle and improve meat color.5)Changes of plasma biochemical parameters:the experimental treatment had a significant effect on the contents or activities of plasma TP,ALP,AST and Ca(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,on the 60th day of the experiment,the content of plasma TP,the activity of plasma ALP,and the activity of plasma AST in the benefit+female group and benefit+Female+Pu group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);On the 120th day of the experiment,the content of plasma Ca in Ligustrum lucidum group,nu+Pu Group and Yi+Nu+Pu group increased significantly(P<0.05).It shows that the ultra-fine powder of traditional Chinese medicine can maintain the normal liver function of laying hens and increase the metabolic level of calcium to a certain extent.6)Changes of plasma oxidation antioxidant indexes:the experimental treatment had a significant effect on the activities of plasma GSH PX and SOD(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,on the 60th day of the experiment,the plasma GSH PX activity of Yi+female group and Yi+Pu group increased significantly(P<0.05);On the 120th day of the experiment,the Plasma SOD activity of motherwort group,Yi+Nu group,Yi+Pu Group and Nu+Pu group increased significantly(P<0.05).It shows that the ultra-fine powder of traditional Chinese medicine can enhance the antioxidant capacity of laying hens to a certain extent,and the effects of Yi+female group and female+Pu Group are better.7)Changes of plasma immune factor content:the experimental treatment had a significant effect on plasma IL-10(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,on the60th day of the experiment,the content of plasma IL-10 in Yi+Nu group and Yi+Pu group increased significantly(P<0.05);On the 120th day of the experiment,the content of plasma IL-10 in motherwort group and nu+Pu group increased significantly(P<0.05).It shows that traditional Chinese medicine ultra-fine powder can enhance the immune function of laying hens to a certain extent,and the effects of Yi+female group,Yi+Pu Group and Yi+Female+Pu Group are better.8)Changes of plasma reproductive hormone content:the experimental treatment had a significant effect on the contents of plasma FSH and LH(P<0.05).Compared with the control group,on the 60th day of the experiment,the contents of plasma FSH and LH in motherwort group,Ligustrum lucidum group,dandelion group,Yi+Nu group,Yi+Pu Group and Nu+Pu group increased significantly(P<0.05),and the content of E2increased(P=0.083);On the 120th day of the test,the content of FSH in each test group showed an upward trend(P=0.058).It shows that the ultra-fine powder of traditional Chinese medicine is helpful to promote the secretion of reproductive hormone in laying hens.In conclusion,the ultra-fine powder of traditional Chinese medicine can improve the laying rate of laying hens to a certain extent,improve the protein height of eggs,ha unit,eggshell strength and yolk ratio,as well as the activities of Plasma SOD and GSH-Px,FSH and LH,reduce the content of yolk cholesterol and chicken dripping loss,and improve the meat color of chicken.Among them,motherwort group,Yi+Nu group and Nu+Pu group had better effects.
