Objective To analyze the herbal fumigation combined with transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation on the clinical treatment efficacy of patients with osteoarthritis of the knee and cold dampness type, and to provide the basis for clinical treatment of knee osteoarthritis. Methods 86 patients with cold dampness type and knee osteoarthritis were selected from 2017.1.1 to 2017.12.1 in Cixi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and divided into the control group and study group randomly. The patients in control group were accepted the herbal fumigation therapy, while the study group were accepted herbal fumigation combined with transcutaneous electrical stimulation treatment.Efficacy including pain degree, jointmotion function, clinical symptoms and adverse reaction conditions of two groups were compared before and after treatment. Results 1.Baseline comparison:There was no significant difference between the two groups in gender, age,Lequesne index score, pain degree score, joint effusion and adverse reactions, which were comparable(P>0.05).2.Comparison of curative effect:(1)After treatment, the Lequesne index score of both groups was significantly lower, and the study group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).(2)After treatment, pain degree scores of the two groups were significantly lower, and the study group was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05).(3)After treatment, the severity of joint efusion in both groups was statistically different with before treatment, and the knee joint effusion in the study group was significantly improved compared with the control group(P<0.05).(4)The total effective rate of the treatment group was 89.5%,while the control group was 70%,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.Safety assessment:There was no adverse reaction between the two groups during the treatment. There was no significant difference between before and after treatment in the indexes of liver and kidney(P>0.05).Conclusion 1.Chinese herbal fumigation with transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation can significantly improve the clinical efficacy of patients with knee osteoarthritis, improve stiff, effusion and swollen symptoms, and reduce the degree of pain, improve the quality of life.2..Herbal fumigation combined with transcutaneous electrical stimulation therapy had no obvious adverse reaction, which was safty, effectivity, and high reproducibility. It is worthy of promotion in the clinical.
