Research On The Inheritance And Protection Of Horqin Mongolian Medicine Bonesetting From The Perspective Of Intangible Cultural Heritage

Mongolian medicine bonesetting is an excellent intangible cultural heritage of the Mongols and an important part of the treasure house of Chinese medicine.Mongolian medicine bonesetting originated from the nomadic culture of Mongolia,and is famous for its unique treatment methods and remarkable curative effects.Horqin Mongolian bonesetting refers to the folk bonesetting spread in Horqin grassland in the late Qing Dynasty.In the course of several centuries of development,it has been recognized by patients from Horqin Region,the country and even the world through its magical bonesetting effect.In 2011,Horqin Mongolian medicine bonesetting was listed in the third batch of national intangible cultural heritage list,and four representative intangible cultural heritage inheritors were successively identified.Recently,it has been protected by special local laws and regulations.Under this social and cultural background,this paper uses the ethnological field investigation method to investigate,analyze and study the inheritance and protection of Horqin Mongolian bonesetting from the perspective of intangible cultural heritage.In the first part,this paper states the development,treatment characteristics and protection value of Horqin Mongolian bonesetting;The second part mainly introduces its inheritance,protection and development in the three public hospitals,the formation and development process of the bonesetting department,the inheritor’s working experience and public recognition;The third part describes the inheritance methods and medical practice experiences of several folk bonesetting families,as well as the intangible cultural heritage application process of some bonesetting practitioners;The conclusion part summarizes the above contents,and puts forward some suggestions on how to inherit,protect and develop Horqin Mongolian bonesetting under the national intangible cultural heritage protection policy.The protection of intangible cultural heritage should respect its unique law of development.This paper analyzes the inheritance law of Horqin Mongolian bonesetting through the description of the inheritance experience of many orthopedic surgeons: first,the genetic and environmental factors of the original family play the most important role;Second,the solid basic medical knowledge and the mastery of Mongolian bonesetting theory are conducive to the acquisition of manipulation techniques,which must be combined with theory and practice;Third,the inheritors’ cultural identity and confidence in their learned skills are the internal driving force for them to continue to engage in bonesetting.
