Effects Of Bushen Chushi Recipe Combined With PRP On The Expression Of TGF-β1/Smadl In Serum Of Patients With Early Knee Osteoarthritis

[Objective]In this study,the VAS score and WOMAC index score between the two groups and before and at the end of treatment,and 3 months after the end of treatment were observed by comparing the oral Bushen Chushi Decoction combined with platelet-rich plasma joint injection group and the platelet-rich plasma injection group alone.,TCM clinical symptom score,Lequesne index score,transforming growth factor-β 1((transforming growth factor-β 1,TGF-β1),Smadl content,to further explore the clinical efficacy of Bushen-Chushi Recipe combined with platelet-rich plasma on early knee osteoarthritis.Effect on serum TGF-β1/Smad1 expression in patients with early knee osteoarthritis.[Methods]A total of 60 cases of early knee osteoarthritis in the Wangjing Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences were included.Relying on the evaluation center of the Institute of Clinical Basic Medicine,Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences,the patients were divided into an experimental group and a control group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was given intra-articular injection of platelet-rich plasma,while the experimental group was given oral Bushen-chushi decoction combined with intra-articular injection of platelet-rich plasma.Oral supplementation of kidney and dampness formula takes 4 weeks as a course of treatment,2 times a day,once in the morning and once in the evening.Intra-articular injection of platelet-rich plasma every 2 weeks,a total of 2 times.Before treatment,at the end of treatment,and 3 months after treatment,VAS score,WOMAC index score,TCM clinical symptom score,Lequesne index score,and serum TGF-β 1 and Smad1 were detected.[Results]1.There were no significant differences in age,gender and BMI between the experimental group and the control group(p>0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in VAS score,WOMAC index score,TCM clinical symptom score,Lequesne index score,TGF-β 1 and Smad1 between the two groups(p>0.05).After the end of treatment and 3 months after the end of treatment,the VAS score,WOMAC index score,TCM clinical symptom score,Lequesne score,TGF-β 1 and Smad1 in the experimental group and the control group were significantly different(p<0.05).After the treatment,the experimental group was better than the control group in terms of TCM clinical symptom score,WOMAC index score,Lequesne score,TGF-β 1 and Smad1,with statistical significance(p<0.05).However,in terms of VAS score,although the score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Three months after the treatment,the experimental group was better than the control group in terms of TCM clinical symptom score,WOMAC index score,Lequesne’s score,TGF-β 1 and Smad1,with statistical significance(p<0.05).Also in terms of VAS score,although the score of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).2.Bushen-chushi recipe combined with platelet-rich plasma can significantly reduce the expression level of serum TGF-P 1 and increase the expression of smadl protein in patients with early knee osteoarthritis.[Conclusion]1.The single use of platelet-rich plasma and Bushen-chushi decoction combined with platelet-rich plasma have clinical curative effect in the treatment of early knee osteoarthritis.However,Bushen Chushi Recipe combined with platelet-rich plasma is more effective than single-use platelet-rich plasma in relieving TCM clinical symptoms,improving knee joint function,relieving local stiffness and discomfort,reducing serum TGF-β,and increasing Smad1 level.2.Bushen-Chushi Recipe combined with platelet-rich plasma can reduce the expression level of serum TGF-β 1 and increase the expression of smad1 in patients with early knee osteoarthritis,so as to achieve the purpose of treating knee osteoarthritis.The specific mechanism may be related to the regulation of TGF-β 1/Smad1 signaling pathway.
