Clinical Observation Of Shuyi Powder In The Treatment Of Depression With Insomnia

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Shuyi Powder in the treatment of depression with insomnia(insufficiency of liver and soul,depression of mind and soul).Methods: Using random grouping and control method,66 patients with depressive disorder and insomnia who met the inclusion criteria were divided into a treatment group(Shuyisan group)and a control group(sertraline hydrochloride group),33 cases in each group,each with an 8-week course of treatment.The Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-17),Pittsburgh Sleep Inventory(PSQI),TCM Syndrome Observation Scale,and Antidepressant Side Effects Scale were used to evaluate the clinical efficacy,adverse reactions and safety of the two groups.Results: The total effective rates of HAMD-17 scale for depressive symptoms in the treatment group and control group were 90.0% and 83.3%(P>0.05),respectively,and the effective rates of Pittsburgh Sleep Inventory(PSQI)were 93.3% and 86.67%(P>0.05),respectively.The effective rates of TCM syndromes were 96.67% and 76.67% respectively(P<0.05).After 8 weeks of treatment,the HAMD-17 score,PSQI,and total score of TCM syndromes in the treatment group and control group were all decreased,and there was a statistically significant difference in the total score of TCM syndromes between the two groups after 8 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).Both groups can improve the symptoms of depression and sleep disorders.For the disease with both TCM syndromes,the therapeutic effect of the treatment group is significantly better than that of the control group,which proves that Shuyi Powder improves the quality of life of the patients.The incidence of adverse reactions in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group,and the safety was good.Conclusion: The overall curative effect of Shuyi Powder in the treatment of insomnia patients with liver-soul deficiency and depressiontype depression is comparable to that of western medicine sertraline hydrochloride.There are few adverse reactions,and it has certain promotion significance in clinical practice.
