Objective:1.By observing the effects of Bailing Capsule on TCM syndrome score,CAT score,inflammatory index,T lymphocyte subsets and lung function of patients with stable COPD,and recording the adverse reactions,the roles and advantages of Bailing Capsule in the treatment of stable COPD were expounded,which opened a new idea for the adjuvant treatment of COPD with traditional Chinese medicine2.Cordyceps powder,the main component of Bailing Capsule,was selected as the research object of animal experimental.By exploring its effects on the general state,inflammatory indexes and lung tissue structure of COPD model rats with qi-deficiency,to verify the effectiveness and safety of Bailing capsule,so as to provide scientific basis for clinical treatment of COPD.Methods:1.Clinical observation:80 patients with stable COPD were randomly divided into control group and treatment group,40 cases in each group.The control group was given routine western medicine treatment,and the treatment group was treated with Bailing capsule on the basis of routine western medicine treatment.The treatment cycle of the two groups was 12 weeks.To observe and compare the differences in TCM syndrome score,CAT score,inflammatory index,T lymphocyte subsets and lung function between the two groups.2.Animal experiment:Sixty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank group,model control group,low-dose group,medium-dose group and high-dose group,with 12 rats in each group.Rats in the model control group and low,medium and high dose groups were treated with smoke+intratracheal instillation of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)to establish COPD model of qi deficiency.After successful modeling,drug intervention was started.The rats in the low,medium and high dose groups were intragastrically administered with low,medium and high concentrations of cordyceps powder suspension for 30 days,respectively.To observe and compare the general state,inflammatory indexes and lung tissue structure changes of rats.Results:1.Clinical observation:Compared with the control group,TCM syndrome score,CAT score and T lymphocyte subsets in the treatment group were significantly improved(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,The inflammatory indexes of CRP,IL-6 and IL-8 in the treatment group were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and WBC,EOS,PCT and TNF-αwere not significantly improved(P>0.05);Compared with the control group,FEV1%and FEV1/FVC in the treatment group were not improved(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).2.Animal experiment:Compared with the blank group,the general state of rats in the model control group(food intake,body weight,mental state,action sensitivity,hair luster,nodding respiration and excretion,etc.)was significantly worse,especially the weight gain was seriously slow(P<0.01).Compared with the model control group,the body weight of the middle and high dose groups increased significantly(P<0.05),and the high dose group was more obvious.The inflammatory indexes of WBC,LY,NE,EOS,TNF-α,IL-6,IL-8 and Eotaxin in the model control group were significantly increased(P<0.01).Compared with the model control group,except TNF-α,WBC,LY,NE,EOS,IL-6,IL-8 and Eotaxin in the high dose group were significantly improved(P<0.05)and better than those in the low and medium dose groups(P<0.05).Except EOS,TNF-αand Eotaxin,WBC,LY,NE,IL-6 and IL-8 in the medium dose group were significantly decreased(P<0.05)and better than those in the low dose group.Only IL-6 and IL-8 in the low dose group were significantly decreased(P<0.05),and their indicators were not significantly improved.The lung tissue pathology of rats in the model control group showed obvious alveolar rupture,fusion,bronchial stenosis,a large number of inflammatory cell infiltration and vascular wall thickening.Compared with the model control group,the low-dose group did not improve,the medium-dose group improved significantly,and the high-dose group improved better.Conclusion:1.Clinical observation:Bailing Capsule combined with conventional western medicine treatment can more effectively alleviate the clinical symptoms of patients with stable COPD,reduce airway inflammation,improve immune function and improve the quality of life.2.Animal experiments:Bailing Capsule can significantly improve the general state of COPD model rats with qi deficiency,reduce inflammatory indexes and relieve lung tissue damage.
